“One of those shoe stores where (if they're busy) you write your name down on a list and then, when your name is called, they help you as long as you need help, however long that is. I've been here twice so far and have gotten great service. For my first visit, a gentleman helped me try on several pairs of running shoes; I ended up with a Brooks Glycerin 20. It's ok (foot still hurts, but other shoes hurt more, epic foot saga omitted from this review.) The amazing thing he recommended are the very $$$ but totally worth it Currex high profile run pro insoles - I bought two pair and I'm really glad I did. I've put those in every shoe I'm wearing now and at least they enable me to walk. Major props to the salesman that helped me for listening rather than pushing his own viewpoints on shoes. I much prefer "try this, I'm not sure it will work, but let's try anyways" perspective! They have a good selection of running-type shoes, and a reasonable selection that veers towards the "orthopedic look". The second time I came here I came for a non-running shoe. The female salesperson helped me try on a LOT of shoes but we weren't able to find something that was super comfortable. And unfortunately, only about 20% of what we tried on - comfortable or no - would be something that would spark joy, if that makes sense. Most of the styles were very sensible.”

He always greets us with a positive attitude and helped me find the right pair of jeans that I've been looking for a long time. Unfortunately, my size wasn't available in-store, but he took the time to call other stores to put one on hold for me. Luckily, I found the style online, which I ended up ordering. That person is a rock star and a great example of a fantastic teammate, always. You rock, man”

Jill until this first visit in January 2022 because their regular collection as merchandised appears suitable only for taller people but I just realized they have a petite section both in store and online which is now somewhat rare. It was end of winter and they didn't have much in stock but I purchased a rose colored embroidered cotton tunic that is now one of my favorite shirts.”

“Did not buy shoes but was very happy with customer service. There was one person working at the store, and he was happy to bring me pair after pair of booties, trying to find something that would fit my wide feet. I found that the made in France Mephisto shoes with natural rubber soles were quite comfortable, but my feet were just a little bit too wide for them and were hanging over the sole on the side. I have been in a lot of shoe stores lately and I really appreciated that he didn't want to argue with me about what my foot did - or didn't - need! He was very nice about "this one might work, try it and we will see." These are very high quality shoes, made to be kept for a long time and resoled. I hadn't tried on this brand before and I felt like there were stylish options (platform combat boots, black booties, etc) in addition to the more sensible options. These shoes are expensive but intended for folks that will keep them for a long time. It was an entirely pleasant experience even if I didn't buy shoes.”

“Was let into the store even though they were plenty full and couldn't offer that one-on-one service, but we were told someone would be with us soon, and they were. She was happy to process the return we brought in while we went on to look for other things. Tried a handful of bags and my mom liked none of them because they all looked not her style despite there being so many on display. She wanted a handbag that complement her in a more mature way rather than young. Nonetheless, they were patient even though we didn't get anything.”

The staff was so helpful, always checking into, taking clothes to the change room for me, etc. I believe her name was K (or another single letter), she was fantastic with customers, so personable and friendly. Sarah at the change rooms was great and also the girl at the till that day (Saturday July 23rd a.m.). I frequent every Anthropologie when travelling to new areas and I just say the customer service was outstanding and the store and change rooms were spotless (which isn’t always the case with other stores). See you all next time I’m in town!”

“I've been looking for a place to get a proper suit made for a while. I consider myself a difficult fit -- my chest measurement is at least 10 inches more than my waist. My posture is very upright and that just makes the chest issue even more difficult. There aren't many places in the US outside of New York that do real bespoke -- patterns cut from scratch. I'm glad I found Gabriel. He has a great understanding of classic men's style and proportions. The suit he made for me is very comfortable and continues to get better as the canvas takes the shape of my body. I keep looking for areas to make micro improvements for my next project with him. But to be honest, the fit is so good I'm not sure there's much to change other than experimenting with other styles, like a double breasted. I plan on commissioning something from him every year as long as I stay in Washington. The super tight, short jacket with the bum exposed, with skinny lapels was trending for a while on off the rack clothing. Even some made to measure places make suits like this. If you are looking for a suit to wear for the next 10 years, I encourage you to give Gabriel a try and have him make something timeless for you.”
