Left us high and dry without no explanation. Signed all the paperwork to close on our new house and put a large amount of money down on it at closing and they pulled out at the last moment.

Please, whatever you do, do not use this company for escrow. I have bought and sold numerous houses over the years and this was the worst experience. A payment was delayed due to the banks fault, I got the bank manager to email to explain there would be a 24 hour delay, and then Fidelity National THREATENED me by saying they would contact my mortgage company to ensure I pay extra fees, despite this being out of my control. You cant make this stuff up, an escrow company (that I paid for) was threatening to actively go out of their way to conspire with my mortgage company to ensure I paid more, after the bank manager contacting them and saying it was a bank fault that causes the delay. Insanity. AGENTS - If you want your buyers or sellers to be very unhappy, don't use them.

I used this escrow company for home purchase 3 months ago and I completely regretted about it. Their service is a huge disaster. We need them to disburse for some utility bills (prior to the close). However, they don't pick up phone calls, nor respond to emails, nor respond to voice mail at all. We tried all methods as we could to reach out to them, but still, NO RESPONSE AT ALL. We had no option but ended up paying the utility bill ourselves. Avoid this company for escrow at all costs.

Strongly don't recommend Geri Scott and her team at Fidelity National Title.During my recent mortgage refinance with her, unfortunately, she incorrectly followed instructions from my first lender which led to her accidentally overcalculating how much my closing funds were by $4k and then sent off the overpayment to my first lender. It took me 1 phone call and 2 emails with Geri Scott to track down what happened during the process, why the overpayment occurred and to get an apology from her that the error occurred from her side.TLDR: Do not expect Geri Scott's work to be accurate and she might finger-point and blame others to cover up her own mistakes. Make sure to double/triple check her work which can get challenging when you're under stress and strict deadlines to avoid closing delays. It might also be difficult to get a real apology from her.Originally, I was civil and very polite giving her plenty of benefit of the doubt when I started noticing things were off. Unfortunately, she took advantage of my politeness and she started asserting that my first lender is less reputable (they're not a big mortgage lender) in that with the looming recession, my first lender requested the overpayment of the loan. She reassured me it was not a big deal as the first lender that received the overpayment will refund me eventually. Eventually, I dug out more proof and found out that my first lender gave very clear instructions on how to calculate the accurate loan amount. Geri Scott made 2 mistakes here by forgetting to back out extra days (if the loan closed earlier than the end of the month) and accidentally added an extra 17 days. This led to an unnecessary overpayment of 30 interest days.My first email gave her plenty of proof that the mistake was on her side and she continued to cover up her mistakes in that escrow doesn't do accounting work on behalf of lenders. I had to send another email and further assert myself that the calculation errors straightly came from her and that my first lender gave very clear instructions that escrow failed to follow. This is when I eventually got a half apology from her and then she blamed me back in that had I pointed out her mistakes during the 3 day cancellation period, she would have refunded my money. Believe it or not, trusting her to do the math correctly in the first place was too high of an expectation. In addition to making baseless negative comments about my first lender, Geri Scott also called my $4k of overpayment as "little money" as if a few thousand dollars is nothing and I question if she is able to empathize with the inconvenience she caused me. I did eventually get my money refunded (as legally required) but she accidentally shipped off a few thousand dollars (interest free loan) to my first lender for no reason and she sees this as a complete non-issue. It was also a giant scramble for me to come up with a few thousands more at last minute when escrow gave me the incorrect amount that I owed. One thing I don't think Geri Scott recognizes is that as humans, we make mistakes. Mistakes are actually forgivable. However, we can be sincere and honest about offering real apologies to redress how much inconvenience this caused me. As the client that hired her team, I never felt heard and I don't appreciate that when I first brought up issues, she tried to blame others as if I am a naive client that doesn't understand how things work. It felt very patronizing. I would have never written this negative review had I actually received a real apology. The entire process was very disappointing.PS. My original home purchase was with Amelia and it went smoothly without issues. Amelia is apparently the branch manager of Fidelity. I hope Amelia sees this negative feedback and further improves the customer experience for the clients. I have also bought and refinanced with FirstAmerican before and had no zero problems.

I have a client who had never sold a home before, whose out of town sisters wanted her to do everything herself to sell the house. Power of Attorney papers were facilitated thru our title Rep, Mike, who found a way to get agood copy with official stamp from overseas. Our signer was so very patient with my client who was extremely nervous. I've been using this office for almost 20 years, and have NEVER had anything go wrong with any transaction. Barb A.

I have been trying to contact Fidelity National Title agents Teresa Huynh and Heidi Lloyd for past 10 days with a query regarding charging me $250. I sent them almost 5-7 emails and they are not responding. I am not sure what I can do. I dont expect such an unprofessional response from any company.
