It had been a long day when I arrived at Walgreens Pharmacy in Lake Tapps just before 5:50PM. I had been up that morning at 8AM, driving around looking for a dentist for my wife. She had been heavily in pain for days and ended up needing an emergency root canal that was performed that afternoon.
Root Canals are just awful. The needles, the drilling, it's like torture. And once the numbing wears off, the pain of the procedure can be excruciating.
I dropped my wife off at home and immediately left to collect her prescribed pain meds from the pharmacy at Walgreens Lake Tapps. In my rush, I forgot my wallet, but figured I would be ok as I could pay by tapping my phone. Well, my phone wasn't working, and the time was now 5:55PM, 5 minutes before the close of the pharmacy.
My mother in law lived right around the corner and quickly left to come meet me at Walgreens with money for the prescription. I explained all of this, including my wife's procedure and pain to Preetham, the Pharmacist.
He didn't see to care a fig. In fact, he mentioned that he would be closing at 6PM on the dot, no matter what. I pleaded with him to stay open just a short 5 more minutes so I could get my wife's medications and he rudely, and flatly refused, telling me it was not his problem.
He told me that he needed to get home on time for his son. And I wish I had told him at the time that if I were his son, I would be happy to wait an extra 5 minutes to see my father if it meant he could be a hero to somebody.
Preetham dropped the metal divider in my face at 5:59pm as I was pleading with him to stay open.
I wish I could tell you what that felt like. I wish I could tell you what it felt like to try to sleep that night, hearing my wife's sobs from the other side of the bed due to the enormous amount of pain she was in. What I CAN tell you, is that I sincerely hope that you don't end up relying on someone like Preetham when your family is in need.

My doctor sent a prescription here which I picked up no problem. The issue came when I attempted to refill the prescription online.
I received an email saying my prescription was ready but when I went to pick it up, the pharmacy said they had no record of the refill nor the original prescription.
When I asked why this happened and how I could make sure it didn't happen again, they shrugged and said the system was terrible and there was no way to prevent it.
I will be transferring my prescription elsewhere.

This place is a joke, the pharmacy is full of incompetent jacka$$es who play graba$s all night. You sell me my prescriptions one week and then refuse the next with zero explanation and make me run around all night just to refuse to sell it to me because I had insurance?

Horrible experience recently. I felt belittled and disrespected by the pharmacy tech as well as the pharmacist. The pharmacist slammed the phone down at the drive thru when speaking to me. I had questions regarding my prescription and medication and he was bothered that I expected him to do his job. Very disappointing.

This pharmacy at Lakeland Hills is the worst pharmacy I have ever used. They are always rude, in a hurry, and inaccurate. Several times I've gone to reorder a prescription that should have been in automatic reorder and they tell me I have no refills left. They are looking at an old prescription!!! So unprofessional. Yesterday we were told we would have to wait at the drive up for 10 minutes before they could even help us!!

Dr. sent a refill for methadone on the 19th. I called to check status threw automated sys on 26th. No status, re requested called on 27th for status no record I received requested on 27th. Called on 28th spoke to representative who reported they were out of stock and would order on the 29th so I could pick up on the 30th. They had a refill request from my doctor since the 19th, I can't switch pharmacy due to my insurance I am changing insurance after the new year just so I can get away from Walgreens. It will cost me more money but what good is good affordable insurance if I am not getting the service to match. I will be celebrating the day I hear Walgreens is filing bankruptcy because sooner or later their nonexistent customer service will catch up to them.

Won’t fill a valid prescription from a doctor, now I can’t obtain my medication as other Walgreens pharmacies are willing to fill it but out of it. Thanks a lot!

Been using their pharmacy for close to 2 years now but this week might be the final straw. Their service has always been slow but the kicker for me was this week I submitted a couple of prescription refills to be delivered. I changed jobs two months ago and updated my insurance info with Walgreens back in August.Walgreens failed to bill this properly and I didn't catch it right away since it was delivered. They charged me $320 for what with insurance should have been around $10-15. I called them 3 days later (once I realized my credit card was charged) and claim because it's more than 24 hours that they have to submit a form to correct the charge and telling me it will take upwards of 6 weeks to process and then my insurance should reimburse - who knows how long that'll take.Absolutely unacceptable.

Service at Walgreens used to be reliable, but it's gone so far downhill over the last few years. I made an appointment to come in and get my flu & Covid vaccines & drove to this location from Kent just to find out they cancelled my appointment. They refused to sign me in for the vaccine & it was not a staffing issue. I watched them check in 2 other people for the same vaccine before refusing to serve me. They didn't even care that I wasted an hour driving there and back for nothing. Transferring my prescriptions elsewhere. This company is awful.

It’s obvious Walgreens corporate does not care that the pharmacy department is costing them lots of money. I’ve never heard of so many people avoiding one pharmacy but then again I’ve never seen this level of incompetence over and over again. I’ve gone four times to pick up medication for my kids and found that they have closed early even after I had driven there and my prescription wasn’t ready (no surprise) and they told me to come back again later. When I did, they closed :45 min early. I would tell everyone in the area not to use them but word is already out and most people already know to go elsewhere.Wake up Walgreens! Fire these worthless people or be fine with sending customers and money to other stores!!!

Pharmacy is horrible! Especially Stacy! They are so impersonal and she is just rude, cocky, and obnoxious. The other tech was screaming at an old man about his zip code. He clearly can’t hear. Write your question down. Then, when I went to check out, I couldn’t remember the zip code I have for Walgreens. We’ve moved several times in the past few years. When I mentioned I couldn’t remember, Kris, the cashier, said, “can’t you just look at your ID?” No, because I didn’t have the same ID when I signed up with Walgreens, moron. Really horrible customer service. I called my husband about it because we’ve been impressed with most customer service here in Washington, and his first question was “is it Kris up front? She’s awful!” Nothing but CVS from here on out. Don’t care if I have to drive an hour!

Don't book your COVID or flu vaccine here. They schedule more appointments than they have the staff to provide and will cancel your vaccine on the day of your appointment without your consent.
