Relocating can be a stressful process; Mary helped to ease the stress with her professionalism. She responded quickly to my emails and made sure any concerns I had were handled in a timely fashion. Additionally, she maintained a kind attitude throughout my experience which stood out significantly and is just as important as prompt responses.Deneigha was also professional and friendly during our interactions. Their friendly demeanors and professionalism are things that stood out the most and encouraged my decision to make this apartment complex my home. I’ve lived here less than a month, but hope my entire tenure will be great.

While cleaning out the fridge the glass broke in our sink, we asked Mary if maintenance could help us remove the glass from the disposal as it wasn’t something we could do ourselves, we are moving on the 21st of July and she told us that they would take care of it after we moved, I still have to live in the apartment for another week with smashed glass and can not use my sink. Mary was condescending and unhelpful it was really disappointing because our maintenance team is genuinely amazing.

Not military friendly, read the lease, the penalty for breaking a 6 month and 12 month are the same so never sign for less than 12. You would be throwing money away. Bugs all over (woke us up, crawling on us in the night), only sometimes people pick up after there dogs, not very “luxury”

This place is okay. They absolutely know NOTIHING about rent though. My two biggest issues with them were over rent. I like that they offer discounts to teachers but I'm not sure that it is worth it given all the problems I had. I had several problems over the two years I was a tenant here. Great area to live in but saftey wise, there are some question marks and the office did virtually nothing about those safety issues. The office staff is typically very nice about the problems but seriously NONE of them understand math or basic service. When I first moved in there were issues with my move in date, the office asked if we could move it by one day, because the carpet cleaners "couldn't make it" the day before I was supposed to move in and they couldn't let me move in until the carpets were cleaned. We agreed said okay that's fine, the next day I got the keys and opened the door to find, the carpet cleaners there. The office did offer a credit for us for that but it wasn't a great alternative as my family and I were there for another two-three days than we expected. I had to continually put in a request to get my windows in my apartment fixed, because they wouldn't open. Maintenance would come in and claim to fix them but never actually did. The office and the complex did not actually make maintenance properly fix them until I pointed out that it was a violation of fire code. Maintenance showed up the next day with the maintenance manager who commented on the fact that the windows not opening was a fire code issue. The major issue of all the issues I had here, was related to rent, and rent renewal. The first year I was there for a rent renewal they had a different system that did not allow you to look up the amount you were going to owe BEFORE the 1st of the month. Rent was due strictly on the 3rd of the month. I knew I would be out of town on the 1st so I went into the office to get the rent number BEFORE I left town. This was 2 WEEKS before rent was due. Once the beginning of the month came around, I was out of the state, and received a late rent notice. They caused a major issue and the office blamed it on ME, this also meant they hit my credit as a renter as well as a late rent fee, when it was their office staff who could not give me the correct number for rent. I had to speak to the property manager to get everything sorted because the office ladies were not wiling to remove the late rent fee or to remove the hit to my creditability as a renter. Keep in mind they had the check for over 2 WEEKS BEFORE this situation even happened. They could have checked it and chose not too. What's even better, they did all of this and caused such an issue over a $5 difference in rent. Then tried to play off this experience when I went in the following year for another rent renewal. The next time I had to go in for rent renewal, They had a new rent renewal date. the previous year, rent renewals went into affect on the 1st of July. This year they told me "Oh not we didn't do that last year and it doesn't go into affect until your move in date." I was told I would have a prorated amount because they did not have July 31st as an official move-in date on their property. If you see from my previous statement, that date occurred because of THIER mistake with the carpet. The math for this was not adding up but the ladies in the office walked me through it several times. When I finally paid the prorate amount and the rent renewal amount, I revied the prorated amount back from the office. I went in to ask about it and a different person in the office stated, "well we don't prorate for anyone so I am not sure who told you this". When I gave them the name of the person who told me it would be prorated, they said, "well she was recently promoted and if she told you we prorate then I guess she is right." I gave up and cashed the the check and moved on. I moved out about 6 months later.

My friend and I just moved in and we had a wonderful application/move in process. All of the staff were extremely knowledgeable, kind, and out going. One Staff in particular Ms. Deneigha Coriano, has an excellent communication style. She made sure that we were updated every step of the way and she was so friendly. She made us feel at home. Our neighbors across the hall, were every kind and actually helped us move things in!We are so excited to live here.

I love it here. It’s quiet, grounds are well maintained, office staff and maintenance above reproach both in time and efficiency. I moved here under less than ideal conditions and couldn’t have asked for a more efficient and friendly welcome. Thank you so much!

I've lived here for 7 years. The maintenance team Tracy and Adam, and the entire team are great! Less than one hour after my call, Tracy came and fixed the toilet. No matter what you need, they are there.

We have lived here for two years and have nothing but great things to say. Hannah is on top of her game. She is the reason we picked CAY. She was so organized and so competent and confident. And there is rarely a maintenance issue and if there is the issue is handled within 24 hours. It’s been nothing short of amazing.

If i could give them 10 stars I would. This place and staff are AMAZING. I have been a bug a boo the first 3 months of moving in and they NEVER made me feel like I was bugging them. Denaigha is a sweetheart who I gave me a tour and signed my lease with. She is a beautiful person inside and out. All of them are. Denaigha and Hannah have went above and beyond to be helpful and always courteous. Living here was THEE BEST decision I couldve ever made and I wouldnt change it one bit. I just wished I cam sooner.

Hands down the best apartment my family has lived in. The service and hospitality offered is second to none, the apartments are well maintained and spacious. They also provide the fastest maintenance, we couldn't believe it! There isn't even a close second in choosing a place to live!Big thanks to Mary and everyone in the office for all the help and cooperation that came with our move here!

I love living at Commonwealth at York! The apartments themselves are beautiful and spacious, and the staff are friendly and helpful! The location is also very convenient, with a shopping center 2 minutes down the road!

I’m military so I’m constantly moving from place to place. I’ve rented about 5 apartments prior this one and I have to say this one is my favorite! I had to apply for it from across the U.S, without seeing it, or knowing much about VA at all, the transition was extremely pleasant all because of Deneigha, she was so helpful, friendly, and eager to help me with whatever I needed. Because of her gracious attitude, I actually dropped the apartment I was going to get, and decided to wait on one to become available here. It was 100 percent worth it.

This was absolutely the easiest and smoothest transition into an apartment. Deneigha Coriano was very friendly, professional and understood what I needed for accommodations. She also helped ease my daughters mind about moving to a new state. Needless to say, instead of looking at other places, I got my keys the very next day! Thank you!

I have lived here for almost three years and I had no problems until I decided to move to a bigger unit. They have a no smoking policy that my neighbors in building 103 refuse to acknowledge. My family and I have repeatedly suffered from dealing with neighbors that like to hot box marijuana in their apartment and it seeps into ours. You can literally smell it two apartments down. I’ve had to buy candles and an air purifier to survive. The apartments are really nice and the maintenance guys are the best (Adam and Tracy). Prior to moving units, I would have given a 5 star review.
