Racists! Melanated people beware!!! I am a state worker and was treated like I had a fake license, state I.D. and created a fake check from an University. Front line Teller was rude as if she was jealous that I was cashing my check. Her face was all turned up. It's 2023 and times are getting worse. If you can go somewhere else, do it.

This is one of THE slowest locations I have ever been to. The teller walked away from the next person to have a personal conversation with someone while the line was crazy long....horrible business

Any bank branch makes me dread going there. I had a completely different feeling when I visited this branch. Since I already have a business account with BOA, I decided to open a personal account as well. The experience of opening an account with Kathy Brown was rewarding and I am glad I chose this branch. Her warmth and welcoming manner made us feel welcome, and she even delayed her lunch break to assist my wife and I since we didn't have an appointment. As the face of BOA, she should be recognized for her personal touch and superior customer service.

I normally go to the BOA at Richmond rd but this time it was more convenient for me to visit this location at Monticello because after I was done with my withdraw, I was planning to deposit the money at my main bank which was near by. I opened a savings account with BOA many years ago, I didn’t want a checking account or an ATM card and I clearly let them know that my account was just there for any emergency. Well, after that, they offered to me and I know it’s their job but after telling them I was not interested, they stopped bothering me so I told them if I decided to have a checking acc or an ATM card I would let them know so they respected that.So this morning I went to the Monticello location and like I always do I provide my ID and the account number, the teller was having a hard time to process my withdraw so after a good 10 minutes of waiting, he called the manager Tina (I believe) and she started asking me if I had a checking account with them so I told her I didn’t want one, she asked me why so I explained to her. She wasn’t satisfied with the answer so she started to tell me about the benefits if I had one, I told her I didn’t need the benefits I just want to withdraw my money so I can deposit it at my main bank to pay for some bills. Now she told me it was harder to do a withdraw without a checking account!! Ridiculous! I have been going to the Richmond Rd location for about 19 years and never had this problem before. I asked for my ID back and drove all the way to the other location and then back to Monticello to deposit my money at my other bank wasting my gasoline and my time. Not sure if she needs more training but she sure didn’t have a clue of what she was talking about. She gave me a lot anxiety and I don’t ever want to deal with her.Update: Account closed as today

Their mortgage services keeps calling unsolicited. When you state you are not interested they slam the phone down on you. If you call the number back it comes up as not in service. SCAMMERS!!! I would not do business with this company

I was denied a business bank account due to 3 separate people in this establishment not know what is required on a specific legal document (Articles of Organization) in the state of Virginia. Or even what it looks like. I am a 9 year veteran that got out of the Army and decided to open up my small business. I came in on a Saturday to open up the account but was denied because they were unfamiliar with the regulations of this document. I then came in on a Monday for an appointment with more legal documentation showing proof of ownership of my business and was denied by two more people. I was also told that my Articles of Organization was not even in the right format. That what I had was just a certificate showing that I paid for the document. I was told by a manager that they would be able to help me if I brought another legal document. I drove home, brought it back, and was still denied. After two hours of being there and an hour on the phone with customer service of the entity that helped form my business, I decided to leave and call the state of Virginia to ask for clarification. I had all the correct documents, the information on the first legal document was correct, correct format, and the information was to the T by the regulations of the State. Not only did I waste my time here, my business start date was pushed back, and the members of this bank were rude to the customer service representative that was on speaker trying to assist me. I would not recommend this establishment to those wishing to start small businesses. I would also make the suggestion to the bank to know laws and regulations and heed to acting on pure assumption.

Recently moved to the area from out of state and decided to bank with BoA. The first time my wife and I stepped into the lobby we were pleasantly greeted and booked an appointment with Suzanne. Setting up my account was super easy and Suzanne (and other staff!) was nothing but friendly and professional. My wife will also be opening her account there shortly. Looking forward for all our future banking needs with the BoA Team!
