I adopted a new puppy on 6/24 and that day went to make an appointment for 7/13 when she needed her boosters/vaccinations. When visiting the site I was directed to make an appointment using the website and I submitted using "new pet exam". After submitting the request I get a notice that says "do not call and wait for the team to reach out",so I do. On 7/2 I call since I haven't heard back and a male receptionist answers. When I ask about my appointment he says they don't schedule new puppies on the site, even though the option was there. Then he immediately tells me that If I need the appointment soon that I might as well go somewhere else. He acknowledged that the site had the new puppy option but said I'm better off going somewhere else...so I am.

We have always used the hospital for all of our pets. They are very professional but also caring. When our 3 year old Walker coonhound was diagnosed with cancer they were quick to get us to a surgeon who could care for her. Sadly she passed about 9 months after diagnosed and they were so compassionate to our family and her. I would highly recommend them for your pets.

IMO, AHW is the best vet/vet hospital I've ever used. I've used AHW for the care of all of my pets over the years, cradle to grave, including the feral cat colony I take care of. I have never encountered such a caring, friendly, knowledgeable, compassionate, and supportive set of individuals in one facility until I came here (I have lived all over the country). AHW has great technology on site, but also their vets (Dr. Reeder is my favorite - sorry, everyone else!) stay on top of the latest studies and information. Really, all of the vets who practice here are excellent, the techs genuinely care about each animal, and the admin staff are all kind and helpful. Dr. Reeder gave me an extra 18 months with my favorite pet of all time by staying on top of trends for his condition and not being afraid to try new things, while being frank, yet caring, about his condition and prognosis. She is truly a godsend. When it comes time to say goodbye to one of your fur babies, you really couldn't ask for a more compassionate process. Truly, unless it's emergency hours, there is nowhere else I will take my pets.

Best Vet in the Valley. I live in Charlottesville and we drive the 60-80 min roundtrip because of how wonderful the ENTIRE STAFF at AHW is. The veterinary care is excellent and the entire staff is caring, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. I couldn't wish for a better vet for my Dogs. They go out of their way to make a trip to the Vet a pleasant experience for both the pet and the owner regardless of what might be the reason for the visit.

I had to take my pug to the emergency vet on a Sunday the AHW staff called me right away Monday morning to follow up to see how she was doing. We set up a follow up visit. At that visit they only performed the tests needed. They take such good care of Penelope each time she goes there

I was referred to Waynesboro Animal Hospital from our vet in Rockingham county when we recently moved to Waynesboro. All of the staff made my dog and me very comfortable. Took the time to answer all of my questions, listen to any concerns and got on the floor with my dog which made her feel comfortable and safe. I am very happy with this practice !

They are everything you could want in an animal hospital. Both the medical and the support staff are friendly, helpful, cheerful and competent. We have been taking out two dogs there for years and have never had any problems. Their costs are reasonable and entirely worth the care they give. They go beyond what is expected including calling to check up on their patients after a visit to see how treatment is going. Last time I was there, my car battery died and on of the staff members helped me jump it with her car.

I took my nine-year-old yorkshire terrier, Rosie, here when we noticed that she was rapidly losing weight, was lethargic, had no appetite, etc. They ran multiple tests, costing us well over $3000+ yet told us everything was fine. They kept telling us that our baby had no issues and was 100% healthy when she obviously wasn't. They urged us to take her home, but we decided to leave her in their care overnight just in case. She died in their care that night. They didn't seem to care much that our baby died when they kept reassuring us that nothing was wrong. They had no remorse and I'm thoroughly convinced that they killed my dog. They are a horrible place and I wouldn't recommend anyone bring their pets here. They will kill your babies (animals) and take all of your money with ridiculously high costs.

Being a visitor and this not being my regular veterinarian, I can't say enough good things about Dr. Lorenz and Kim! The knowledge, care, compassion, and time was outstanding. This sets a new standard to the way veternarian medicine should be practiced! Thank you so much!

Best vet hospital office architecture and amenities I've ever been in. Beautiful building, efficiently laid out, well-equipped. Two of the docs I've dealt with are stellar: Weiss and Reeder. Really good. Friendly, compassionate, competent, great communicators. The multiple front desk staff are friendly, helpful, and efficient. After appointments, I find making a left turn onto West Main out of their driveway to head back east to be extremely difficult. And although I've tried to find a back way out that leads to a stoplight-protected left turn, I haven't found one yet. I'm going to check Google Maps for that. If you hate making unprotected left turns onto a busy street, I suggest you do the same.

So glad we found this place. Only wonderful things to say about the excellent doctors and staff that work here. They are so kind and patient with your pets and they take their time and listen to you. You can tell they actually care. They are a true treasure to the area.

Staff is good and I did like the vet, but they are never on time. At least a half hour behind.
