David Belcher is a top tier tax man! He knocked my tax returns out of the park in record time and made me feel right at home. I look forward to next year when I can see him again, taxes have been a struggle for me the past few years until I got in touch with David Belcher of H&R Block at First Colonial Rd. He helped me get my 2022 return done the first day I walked in so fast it would make your head spin, and when my 2023 return was botched yet again by Turbo Tax, I went right back. Cannot recommend him enough!

This branch is incompetent, unreliable, untrustworthy and unprofessional. TWO YEARS IN A ROW I dropped my documents off to hear nothing back for an entire month. When I stopped in to follow up, no one has any idea why my taxes were never started or assigned to anyone to begin with.I gave this branch another chance this year because mistakes happen and I didnt think they would let this happen again, but I was wrong. I will never come back here again and neither should anyone reading this review. They clearly have issues with staff they havent bothered to correct. Pretty sure it was the same secretary who took my documents both years.

Friendly staff, got the job done but way too expensive. I have pretty basic taxes, a couple W2s and 1099s and it cost over $500. Knowing that, I'll probably just stick to the online software in the future.

My wife and I really like our tax preparer and have used her and H&R Blocks services for over a decade. In the past couple of years tax laws have changed, we have fewer deductions and I now earn just enough more money to place us in a tax bracket that requires us to pay more a week than claiming zero on my W-2 form will cover the tax liability. After more than 10 years of being a loyal customer I was surprised to find out afterwards the fee was $175 to file a federal 1040EZ and state tax form.

SEEMS TO ME THEY NOT DOING SO GOOD ON TAXES THIS YEAR. HAD JESSICA AS THE TAX LADY LAST YEAR AND GREAT NOW THIS YEAR, JUST HORRIBLE. I WOULD LIKE TO UNDERSTAND WHY SHE STARTED THEM AND DIDN'T FINISH THEM. ALSO WHY WASN'T I NOTIFIED ABOUT THEM NOT BEING FINISHED ?

I've been coming to this H&R Block location for maybe the last ten years or more and haven't had any problems. This was the first time I did a drop off with all my documents because I am now a night shift worker and I sleep during the day. I felt that would be a great way to get my taxes done and not miss any sleep. Anyway I was told that my taxes would be taking care of. I told them ok and to call me if they needed anymore info. It had been about a month since I dropped off and still haven't heard anything and the tax deadline is just a few days away so now I'm getting worried. I called them and was told I will get a call back by the end of day, but nobody ever called. So I called them the next day and still no word if they are done. At this time I showed up back at the location to see what the holdup is? I was told the lady need to talk to me. I said ok and waited about 30 minutes then she came out to get me. She never did anything until I got there. We continued to confirm my info and was done. It never seemed to business at this location but it shouldn't take this long to get taxes done. IM DOING MY OWN TAXES NEXT YEAR. THANKS!

I had the same issue and Jesse as the other recent 1 star. Issue has been escalated and these reviews have been brought to general manager and district managers attention. Not only are my taxes late but there was absolutely no communication. If you needed information from me and didn’t give me a call that’s on you. I am paying for a service and thought everything was fine. Additionally, I was supposed to pay 150 overall and was never disclosed that my fees were going up to $486 because of forms I needed!

Dropped off all the necessary documents and was told that it would be submitted, and if they had any question they would give me a call. It has been a months since then and I still haven't received any confirmation my documents where submitted. Every time I contact the location I'm told I will get a call back, but no one ever calls. I used H&R Block the year prior with no issue, but it would seem the quality of their staff has declined in the time since.
