The technician who came to service our Bosch dishwasher today was great! He was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and fast. We will definitely be reaching out to Suffolk appliance again the future!

If I could give negative stars I definitely would! It seems that home warranty claims are not of importance to this company. All of the negative reviews are from just that. Well, here is another. A tech came out and was polite and professional for the initial appt. A part was needed. It was ordered by the warranty company and delivered about 2 weeks later to Suffolk appliance. But they neglected to inform me. After several calls to them and the warranty company for an additional 3 WEEKS, I was repeatedly told the part was not delivered yet. After a lot of a long calls to the warranty company I was informed that Suffolk appliance had the part for 3 weeks now and they don’t know why they haven’t contacted me. Called them steaming mad. The “manager” states she personally called me twice and left voicemails. Very unapologetic almost argumentative. I never received either call or voicemail. And I highly doubt those phone calls actually took place. I then Informed her that even if that was true I have called them a few times as recent as the previous week and was told they did not receive the part yet. No apology. A lot of excuses. Super UNPROFESSIONAL!!! We have been without a dryer for over a month and more than half of that time they had the part and just sat on it!!!! We finally have an appointment in a few days. Hopefully this will be the last time I ever have to deal with this horrible company again!!!! Beware!!! Use someone else if at all possible!!!!! Im calling my warranty company back to tell them I never want to have my claims filled by this company!

Suffolk Appliance for the win! This company was recommended by my son. I won’t use anyone else in the future. Will was the tech, once for my dryer, and today for my washer. He goes above and beyond. Very friendly and professional. Very knowledgeable and efficient. Great attitude even though he had to leave to get a part for the job and return. He could have waited and rescheduled, but he seemed more concerned that it would be inconvenient for me. Wonderful customer service. Made me feel like he was happy to make the customer happy.

I submitted a claim through American Home Shield. When I was contacted to schedule my appointment, the window being offered was a 1-6. I asked that would not work for my schedule as I have to take time off from work and also depart to pick up my son from school during that window and did not want to run the risk of the tech showing up when I run to get him. The reps immediate response was to cancel my appointment and not even attempt to accommodate an alternate date or weekend. Very unprofessional, she was rude and laughing during our conversation. When I asked to speak to the manager, she laughed and stated she was the manager. I’ve contacted AHS and reported the poor customer service to the quality assurance department!

Mike has been fantastic to deal with. He has provided money saving ideas and did a cost analysis when our dishwasher and microwave went out. He also stayed until the job was done to his satisfaction with no gaps between the appliance and cabinets. He even went to Lowes to get what he needed to get the job right. Great customer service!

Will was great! Quick service, on time and friendly- even put up with my VERY talkative 8 year old. I will definitely be using Suffolk Appliance again if I ever run into appliance issues. SO happy to have my dishwasher back

Can't say enough good things about Suffolk Appliance, but I'll try!First, let me apologize for the lengthy review. However, I feel it’s necessary and I hope you’ll read it in its entirety. Second, I’d like to apologize to Suffolk Appliance and, most of all, the technician – Tim V. Tim is the senior technician that fixed an issue with our dishwasher - and in a haste, I gave him and Suffolk Appliance a less than favorable review – ok, I scored them pretty low and I wish I hadn’t. They really didn’t deserve it.My first encounter with Suffolk Appliance was years ago where I Googled "best appliance repair in Hampton Roads." I have several rental properties in the area and Suffolk Appliance stood out as one of those hometown family owned businesses. I was right. They’re the “real-deal”, that’s for sure.As time went on, I moved from the area and started using American Home Shield (AHS) – a global insurance protection plan that covers all kinds of stuff including appliances. While it’s comforting to know you’re covered when big things break, working with a global provider is VERY frustrating. And, while it’s not an excuse for my behavior, it contributed to my anxiety.Additionally, fast forwarding to today and recognizing economic and political conditions e.g., worker shortages, low-skilled and under-prepared applicants for technician jobs, supply chain difficulties, etc., it’s really tough – for both the customer and business owner. These days everyone is “on edge.” Customers are frustrated because of the long delays getting assistance. Business owners are doing their best, but it never seems good enough. Ok, so this is no excuse either, but…Recently, a dishwasher went out and I called it in to AHS. And, after a day or two AHS finally contacted some “other company” that I’ve never heard of before. It was another global provider – which I truly believe is just a robot somewhere in another country. It was impossible to call and speak to anyone – like literally, there was no way to contact them. After about 10-days of not getting served, I started trying to communicate with AHS to switch the service provider. After two more days, AHS identified Suffolk Appliance. Aaaa – finally, a local “family-owned” business. Unfortunately, even for them, predictability is difficult when there are hundreds of customers needing assistance and the business has limited qualified technicians. It’s not the business’ fault – we’re all starving for better prepared individuals coming out of school these days, but high schools in general stopped preparing kids for the real world a long time ago. And, I’m an educator myself.Well, given our frustrations with everything (AHS, having to drop the first provider and try our best at rescheduling appointments and providers, and a later than expected appointment time), I gave a bad review.Having slept on things, I can confidently say that Tim did an outstanding job. He’s a more senior technician and really knows his stuff, but more importantly, I mischaracterized him and the service he provided. Aside from being much overloaded with other impatient customers (like me), he was at my home fixing the problem as fast as he could. He immediately and quickly pinpointed the issue in no time. Unfortunately, a part needed to be replaced and we had to wait a few days. However, once the part came in, Tim was there and my dishwasher is now running great.The point is: I’m very happy with this hometown business Suffolk Appliance), and really sorry for jumping the gun and writing a “less than favorable” review.Just hoping to correct a wrong.

First I want to apologize to this company because I originally wrote a bad review due to a miscommunication with AHS. I was frustrated , upset and angry because the tech told me that my refrigerator needed to be replaced and my warranty company was playing games. When I wrote the review they immediately called me and explained the situation. I knew who the culprit was and it wasn’t this company at all.This company has been actively trying to help me get a new refrigerator. The techs and the customer service is impeccable and they are super friendly. Tim is the guru of refrigerators . I am grateful for their service and would recommend them to anyone. They are for the customer.

I came in with questions, knowing next to nothing about appliances and I was received well and the staff was deeply knowledgeable. I've done a bit of research based on the information I was told and they definitely know their stuff. 5/5 service and I will definitely be doing business with them in the future.

Suffolk Appliance was very prompt and efficient in scheduling an appointment. Mike, my assigned technician, was outstanding. He was very thorough in detailing the issues I was experiencing with the refrigerator, very knowledgeable. Appreciated his excellent customer service, his assistance and his follow-up, since he had to contact my warrant company! Great job, Mike! Thank you!
