This will now be my forever favorite Lowe’s!! Rae was phenomenal!!! She came to my rescue and saved me thousands of dollars LITERALLY! Her professionalism & knowledge in her department helped me decide on my purchase with clarity and confidence in what I am getting! Good prices. Good selection of things for the home and garden. Knowledgeable staff. Force You to use self check. Will not open register if You ask. This is why I lowered review. Used to be 5 star.

Very disappointed in the paint department. I purchased paint about a year ago, stuff happened and the painting did not occur. I am finally going to paint today so I brought it up and ask if they could put it in the shaker to blend it. I got a very rude no. I don’t mind no but I do mind a rude no. All good though, Sherwin Williams up the road shook the paint for me and I bought my rollers tape and tarps from them.

It's pretty well organized, however, very busy, especially on the weekends, so it gets picked over quickly. Also, I'm not a fan of the salesmen greeters they've had there lately. People going to lowes are usually there to get something specific and probably don't want someone trying to sell them a 20-30 thousand dollar gutter cover or solar panels as soon as they walk in the door.

Worst helpers on the planet. I came in to buy a grill. Of course the one I want is on the freaking top shelf. Well there were 3 guys with a lift one isle over that I asked for help. They called some other woman from a different department to “help” me. She came like 10 minutes later…..said she was getting help….I have now waited another 20 minutes and no one has come. Now I have waited over 40 minutes for help with a grill. About to leave & never buy anything from here again. I own a Home improvement business as well & have spent tons of money in this place. I will now always try to buy from anywhere else first!

Went to Lowe's for a multimillion dollar property maintenance company to purchase supplies with a company credit card. Was told by the only person up front she couldn't help because she was on a call, obviously a personal call, and to go to customer service. There was a line about 20 deep with one person ringing. Contractors come to Lowe's first thing in the morning to obtain supplies for the day and you would think they would be prepared. Left the cart with about $800 worth of supplies and now headed to Home Depot. Contractor's time is money. Don't be surprised when sales are down.

I came to Lowe's today looking for some planting materials, soil, pots, plants etc. RAYNA was very helpful, showing me where to find everything and answering all my questions about how to grow kitchen herbs, with many recommendations on supplies and tips. She clearly knows a lot about gardening, her department and I appreciated her expertise, as I am new to this. I will certainly be returning and enjoyed my experience!

After shopping exclusively at Lowe's for every project I've ever had. I would like to share a fair warning of lowes home improvement shorts theft. While returning extra materials, I was issued an in store credit card because they did not have that amount of money at the time. I had 3 children under 10 with me, so it was all a very fast transaction. I was not informed on any policy about their in store credit cards till I loose the card and try to get a new one. They are not willing to issue me a new card, therefore stealing all my money that was on that credit, and destroying a long standing relationship. They scanned my drivers license to issue the card and they are now unwilling to scan my license again to check the history of that card to potentially let me know if it has been used or not. When I try to get a babysitter to come talk with a manager, they only take my name and number and ignore me for weeks. I try again and was met with the same treatment. Does anyone here think it sounds impossible to search up records and issue a new piece of plastic if it was unused? I didn't think it would be a problem. Now that I have been robbed by this company, I am just amazed at how cold this company can treat its customers. Please, do not ever get an in store credit card. I will no longer shop at any lowes stores. They have treated me with complete disregard. Please do not support a business that is willing to take from the less fortunate to fill their corporate pockets. I did not reach this conclusion over a 100$ gift card, it was way more then that.

The customer service at this store is horrible, they actike you are bothering them when you ask for help. Requested the customer service desk to please have an employee come assist in the power tool section. After waiting 25 minutes, I went back to the customer service desk to be informed that everyone was in a meeting. Soooo, customer service is second to servicing your customer's needs. Ask for help in the lawn and garden section, loading some bags of mulch. The young man said ok. I went for a cart, never saw him again. It seems they know they are the only choice we have to shop in downtown Suffolk, and therefore, they could care less about improving customer service. Last but not least, don't waste your money on lawnmower maintenance contracts. Trying to get a service number for maintenance is a joke. 4 weeks it took to get someone to even intervene on my behalf. Buyers, beware, you don't have many other options to shop for these products, so SPEAK UP if you are not receiving quality customer service. You are spending your hard earned money!

I came in because I was going to make a larger purchase. They don’t carry the zero turn I wanted and I could not get the military discount online despite Lowes saying you can and my discount being verified on my account. I went in with my kids and went straight to customer service. They told me they could not order the mower. I had the item number the price I just wanted the mower order and the discount applied. They told me it could be ordered because they don’t want to get stuck with it. I told them no problem you offer free shipping had already confirmed that and I want it direct shipped to my home. The women made a call and then said they would not order it. The next day at the Virginia Beach Lowes I tried the same thing. They ordered the mower gave me the discount and I was on my way in 10 minutes. Absolutely effortless and I’m so appreciative of the Virginia Beach Lowes. Suffolk Lowes is lazy and unhelpful. They are totally incapable of doing a good job or providing any level of customer service. This is not the first time they have failed but the largest one and with evidence that what they said and did was a lie.

Stephany @ Customer Service & Returns last Thursday was a rude & despicable employee !!! She got jealous when a handsome & hot military in uniform gentleman spoke to me & it was hell to pay from that moment out !!! She pissed me off so bad to the point I returned all $ 150.00 of merchandise I bought @ the Hampton store & there !!! She loves to listen to herself talk but fails to listen to the customer @ all !!!Debbie was outstanding & Bob is too !!! This one employee Stephany & her repulsive behavior is enough to cost this establishment thousands upon thousands of dollars in one year !!! She will continue to put sales in the red not the black & I refuse to ever have her wait on me again !!!Hope management 86's her or does some retraining classes on her time not theirs of how to speak to a customer !!!She made me go outside & heave my breakfast almost on my sandals when in actuality I should have puked in her face & evil red hair !!!Good luck Lowes of Suffolk on Main Street because this peice of work is gonna cost you big time !!!M.Butler

I went to appliances department to day, and it was awesome, I went to purchase a hot water heater, and the customer service me and wife got was excellent, her name was Stephanie, please give her a raise, she was very formative, and very friendly, alot people in customer service should take a lesson or two from her, she is great, Thank you Stephanie, keep doing what u do, God bless u
