Everything was good. Professional packers and movers showed up on time and got everything on van when promised. Van arrived when promised at storage facility with everything in good shape!

Our crew was punctual on pickup day and delivery day. Communication was also punctual and professional. Our belongings were handled with care and the level of professionalism was dynamic. We moved from a townhome in a somewhat level community to the mountains with a difficult driveway. Our driver expertly navigated the gravel road covered by trees and then had the truck unloaded within a couple of hours. The price for our move was reasonable and worth it. Everyone we dealt with at J&K Moving was easy to contact and gave quick responses. I would very highly recommend using their services!

Just read the review of the guy whose grill was broken durning the move, and JK’s response is to improve crew training. I’m pretty sure the guy just wants his grill to be working! How about you address the issue and get the guy a new grill? Put the customer first.

Recently used JK Moving services and they broke a $1,700 grill during the move and refuse to compensate me for it. Shonna Hynick is the Customer Care representative and she “interviewed” the crew who of course denied any error and gave my account no value. They are refusing my claim, in effect calling the customer a lier, and not taking any form of responsibility. Do not use JK, they will not take care of the customer in the event their crew damages any of your belongings.

I have moved 8 times in the past 22 years. All of the moves have been within the DC Metropolitan area, except for this last one which was about 150 miles away. Needless to say, it was the most worrisome and stressful move as we were not used to the distance. If it weren’t for JK Moving, I would have lost my mind.
Christa Moore called me early on and got the process started around February/March. We didn’t have a closing date yet because we bought new construction. All we knew was that it was going to be in June. This part was stressful enough but Christa made sure I was well taken care of. She called and checked in on me periodically to see if I need anything while packing, preparing for my survey, and on move & delivery days. She made me feel relaxed and focused. She held my hand throughout the whole process.
I finally scheduled the survey with Michael Bennett. It was smooth and easy. He explained every step of the way to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I really appreciated his patience and professionalism throughout the whole process.
We finally had a closing and move date. The crew, Santos Solorzano, Pablo Herrera, Jaime Herrera, Hugh Hanshaw, and Mario Villalta, arrived bright and early on the load date. They marched in like soldiers ready to take all the stress off my shoulders. They were professional, clean cut, and polite. They worked fast and efficiently.
Delivery date came quickly. The crew moved fast and put everything in place. They went above and beyond. I did not have to worry about a thing. It felt like having family in my home.
As I mentioned, this is my 8th move and I can honestly say that this was the best move and the best crew we’ve ever had. I referred a close friend to you a couple of years ago. I spoke with her today and she went on and on about how wonderful her move was. She plans to move again soon and will be using JK for sure!
Thank you so very much for taking such great care of me and my family. You and your team are outstanding! I hope to never move again but if I do, I know who to call.

They use a barcode system to ensure an accurate inventory of all items. They have wonderful follow up via email and text and you can always reach someone if you have a question. Warning! I was ready to give these movers a five star review. They had me convinced. Their representative came to my house and was such a nice guy and I thought this time I wouldn’t have Movers screw me over. Well, I thought wrong. The nice guy gave me a quote which was $10,000 less than what the actual move cost. Then, The movers Said they couldn’t bring a big truck down my block which was a lie and they settled my furniture back-and-forth in two truckloads to the depot. We had to sit and wait for hours in between.
Then they told me they were delivering my furniture on Monday. I have never been to the new house and when I got up here, I called them and told them there was no way they could get a tractor-trailer up here. Did they listen? No they bought a tractor trailer up found out they couldn’t bring it into my driveway. And then spent all day trying to find a place to rent a truck so they could shuttle my stuff into my house. Then they tried to illegally park the truck in a Lowe’s parking lot and several other parking lot while they move the furniture, but they got thrown out by the police.
Furniture that was supposed to be delivered between eight and 10 this morning has not been delivered yet and it’s 4 o’clock in the afternoon.
I have no idea where they are keeping my stuff overnight and where they Or when they are delivering.
The people who packed for me and the people who loaded were wonderful! However, logistics was so ill prepared that they didn’t use Google Earth to see that they couldn’t bring a tractor And prepare for properly.
I can’t believe they wouldn’t do something like that when they can Virtually Drive up and down the road to see what type of access there is before they send a truck that cannot be used.

JK is awesome! They take great care of your things, show up early, work hard and are very straight forward. Recommend them all the time. This was our 5th move with them and will always use them.

Eugene showed up on time each way. He ensured the floors
and walls protected. He worked hard all day and if caught a member of the crew talking to much, he let them know with one look. He ran a tight crew and rightfully so. Nice job JK!
