Very hit or miss experience with this particular store.Usual good experiences are with the guy with the dark hair, around 5'7 or 5'8? Maybe a little shorter? (Sorry bro) I think he might be the manager? Always helpful never rude. One time I went in with my switch and asked if I could load up a game just for the save file. He completely understood and let me do it right in front of him. I haven't seen him the past couple of times I went. Would be a loss for the store if this guy left the company.The more recent trips have been pretty bad.1. Went in to ask about PS5s. Just generic questions (as I didn't know much about it). Then I asked if they had one in stock. They did. But I looked on Costco's website and saw they were doing a promo for a much better deal. When they asked me if I wanted to buy the PS5 there, I said I'll probably just get it at Costco. When I said that both of them looked at me like "how could you not buy from us". This experience not as bad, but not that great either.2. Went in to get a copy of TOTK. When I went to go pay I asked him if I could get the military discount as I showed him my veteran ID. He looked at the ID and told me that I couldn't get it cause I wasn't active duty. I told him no that's not correct and had to show him GameStop's policy on military discounts and how it applied to veterans as well. After I showed him, he was mumbling something about how I needed to have a specific ID. What got me was what he did after. He asked me if I wanted to renew my Pro membership. I told him no as I shop at GameStop only a few times a year. He then said "of course you don't" like he was annoyed that I didn't help him meet his quota or something. Just because you gave me the military discount doesn't mean I owe you anything. The discount isn't yours to give away anyway. Its company policy. Also the entire time I was talking to him, it was very hard to understand him. I think he had a speech impediment. Dark hair, wears glasses. Yeah I'm talking about you bro. If I see this guy when I go into the store again I'll probably just leave and come back another time.

After the dude entered my phone # wrong 3x, he finished checking out my items and then after that, dude expected me to carry out my items with no bag and then asked if I wanted a bag and then dude made me bag my own items. Ur suppose to bag them for me and then have my recipe in the bag. This store went down hill many years ago.

We have gone into this GameStop at least a dozen times shopping for Funko Pops. One of X things happens every time; I ask the store clerk if they have any Chases. They say no they don't get them (not possible, every case comes with 6 so they are either keeping them, holding them, or buying them to sell). We ask if they have a particular Pop; they say I don't know, I don't care about Pops/I don't know what Pops are/that's not my interest and don't assist further. The staff there are disinterested in helping us find anything we are looking for, so we've given up on GameStop in terms of Funko Pops. Of all places, this should be a place we could go to shop and find them, but the customer service it disinterested.

Not sure how this Game Stop has 4.4 stars, but this Game Stop and their employees who work the night shift are HORRIBLE. My bf and I went on 12/28/2022 around 7pm-ish and we were not greeted at all. We went in for their trade in services. Unfortunately, we were not aware that when you do trade in all of the items must be out their packaging for them to take it. When we went up to them at the cashier we said "we would like to trade these items in." As soon as we said that the guy with the accent and blonde hair with his long beard was like "NO NO NO NO NO. we don't accept them in there original packaging" we said "Oh, that's fine we will just unpackage it right now" the guy said "NO NO NO NO. If you do that right now and come back we won't accept it. If you come back tomorrow we won't take it, you have to go to another store." We said "OK." Then they tried quoting us on how much would we would received for the items. I bought my bf the PGA 2023 game, but I did not know his PS5 is without a disc reader. The other guy who was there thought we had brought in a NBA game, and we said "No it's the PGA game." He then proceeded to MAKE FUN of my bf by saying that "No Game Stop wants that game and no customer wants that game either" I then said "No, actually he does want that game. We just want to trade it in for a playstation store card instead b/c his PS5 does not have a disc reader." Literally the worst experience I have ever experienced at a Game Stop. I understand they have rules, but it's the way you SPEAK TO PEOPLE. Do not come here and waste your time with people who hate their job. I will be contacting their superiors.

On nov 15 2022 I walked into this GameStop wasn’t greeted only to find out that I couldn’t trade in a Xbox series s the employee working around 245-3 was horrible no greeting Horrible customer service!!!that’s why nobody shops here !!! do not shop for games here estarland is so much better treats there customers with respect

So about 3pm today I go into the Dulles 28 GameStop. I ask to purchase a Ragnarok PS5, warranty and to renew my GameStop account. I ask the manager can I split payments he says yes. I pay my first payment with a card $254. Then try to my credit card on my phone. That card is strictly credit . I don't have a pin. Well it doesn't go thru so he says hit cancel and try again. I try again and it doesn't go thru. I tell him we will have to cancel the transaction until a further time. He tells me well I'm not sure if I can do that. Let me call help desk. He calls the help desk and says they canceled it. But he then shuts down the work register. He never gave me a receipt, email or any type of cancellation form. He told me oh you weren't charged. But I check my account and I was charged $254. I only have some type of register log saying I spent $254. I've been shopping at GameStop for 15 plus years. Never have I ever got done bad this way. This guy constantly kept slamming stuff and being angry with me when I did nothing. I'm a customer. I've never been so scared to go back to a store. I just want my money back and I'll never even visit a GameStop again . This is for 10 year old nephew whom my brother sent me to go grab. He's now out of $254 and my nephews birthday gift has now been sold. Like what do I do now? This is messed up

The usual staff at this branch are super helpful and super friendly. You can have, like, a two-hour conversation and they’ll be cool with it.
