My wife and I joined this school as a way to exercise and lose weight. We recently moved and we left behind a family. After losing over 100 lbs this gym has given me a sense of home. I gained mental fortitude, physical stamina, and cherished memories. Get ready for the most difficult but rewarding experience you could hope to have.

Disciple MMA is an amazing gym. You can learn just about anything mixed martial arts, as well as develop the strength, stamina, and technique to use it, whether for amateur/professional competition, or for personal use. I think one of the biggest things that sets Disciple on top however, is its community. The academy is very welcoming of new students of any skill level and age. Personally, I've been with Disciple for 1.5 years on-and-off, yet every time I come in, its like reuniting with old family members.
Highly recommend for anyone: looking to level up their martial arts skills, pursuing fitness goals, or just looking to meet great people and get a good workout in at the same time.

I’ve been training here since 2018 and all I will say is this place is family the team and coaches will bring the best out of you and not only that but they strive to make you excel at the art you are in. The difference between this place and the other gyms in the dmv area is that this place isn’t just about taking your money it’s about building quality fighters for in and outside the ring for real life situations so if you have a kid that needs to learn respect and discipline and overall knows how to defend themself DISCIPLE MMA ACADEMY is the place to go

Best MMA Academy in the DMV !!!!
With almost 20 years in the MMA world and owning my own MMA Gym for over 5 years, I not only recommend Disciple MMA but I also continue to train and learn from the amazing Coaches under AH JAAN Howard ??. They have everything you need to make a better version of yourself in an Honorable and Disciplined environment.

I'm late writing this review. How late? Over ten years. That's how long I've been at disciple. Since the day they opened and the mats weren't even all put in. Don't worry I'm getting there. This is the best gym and culture I've ever been to and it's why I've always stayed. The coaches and students alike foster strong values in discipline and motivation but also in kindness. Someone will always be willing to work extra woth you or help your training. The coaching staff is world class as are the competition team fighters. It's a place of humble yet highly capable individuals. If you come here you will work. Believe that. But you will come away better than when you first entered and you will definitely want to come back.

I can’t recommend Disciple mma enough. The program maintains its essence throughout the years; the disciple system has produced many good fighters and champions. The team has competed (and won) at the highest level across different disciplines, which is a testament of the curriculum.

“I would recommend Disciple MMA Academy to anyone in Virginia. The facility was very clean, well kept and the staff were very welcoming. The gym has a lot of mat space, a good amount of bags, a full size ring, and a sauna. The classes were filled with experienced fighters who were knowledgeable of the sport. Any time I am back in Virginia, I will be stopping by.”

This is my first MMA gym and I loved every moment I was able to attend classes. Incredibly clean environment, strong focus on team work and family values. I will be coming back when I'm able!

I remember first coming into Disciple to learn martial arts and next thing you know I feel in love with the arts and it started to become a life style. There is no better place to go and grow. Whether it’s BJJ, Muay Thai or anything in between Disciple is your one stop shop with some of the best krus/coaches/instructors in the world. You are guaranteed to learn something new.
