Great experience. They ordered my medication and it was in stock and ready in just a couple days.

beware if you go to St. Mary's emergency room. If you get a black nurse with a nose ring, named Tiffany. she is nasty and rude and abusive. Do not let your family be treated by her. She does not care about her patience. She will ignore your request roll her eyes and grunt and not do her job. She will walk away and leave you there dying while you're having a heart attack because she doesn't wanna do anything. And no one will give you their name or reprimand them in that hospital. I went through the head nurse I went through the patient advocacy, and they did nothing to reprimand this nurse after she abused me in the emergency room, and I almost died.

I’ve only used this pharmacy for a few months, but they are always misplacing my prescriptions or telling me that my prescriptions are ready to pick up when they are not. It has happened countless times where I call to confirm that my medication is ready for pickup, only to drive 30 minutes there for them to tell me they never filled it. Staff is rude and doesn’t seem to understand any questions I ask

Four times since July/August, I have contacted thier billing office. I have an FSA and they are requiring documentation to pay my bills with my money. Four times I have been told they could not fax me information and would have to mail it. Four times I have gotten nothing. On the third and fourth times, they dismissed my assertion that I didn't get the requested information, wouldn't give their name or connect me with their supervisor, but insisted I would get information in two weeks. Still nothing. I love my cardiologist and love visiting the Forest Ave office and the staff, but I will switch to a new cardiologist. Their inept, abusive neglect, refusal to follow through with promises, and lack of concern, have forced me to leave my well loved cardiologist of around 20 years. DO NOT USE ST. MARY's IF YOU HAVE AN FSA OR WILL EVER NEED BILLS WITH SERVICE DESCRIPTIONS. FURTHER, WHEN THEY SEND YOU BILLS, MAKE THEM SEND YOU THE DETAILED BILL FIRST, AND GET DOCUMENTATION THAT THEY AGREED TO SEND IT. BETTER, JUST DO NOT USE THEM! Michael F. Martelli, PhD Richmond, VA

St. Mary's is a great hospital. I delivered my first child here. All the nurses in the maternity ward were so attentive and supportive. They took very good care of me and my baby. They actually let us leave earlier than expected.

The quality of care given at this hospital used to be wonderful. Now it has to be one of the worst in the state. The nursing staff do not listen or respond in a timely manner to patients needs or caregivers concerns. The nurses used to be some of the best but now they are the absolute worst. We have been here for two and half days waiting for them to do 2 tests and they still have no idea when they will do them because "it's a weekend ". I would suggest any other hospital.

I recently had to go to the emergency room. They have the worst service playing musical chairs with people that are sick and hurt. get up go sit back down .. get up again ...go sit back down they are treating some people in a big main room with no privacy. Why would I want to talk about what's wrong with me where everyone can hear me?? They have forgotten about the fact we are people not cattle.

I felt I received excellent treatment from everyone at St Mary's. I came in via transport and was immediately seen by the emergency room workers who informed the surgeon I was there. The ER is kept really cold so be prepared. Surgery was delayed slightly but I felt like I was updated regularly. Everyone from the nurses to the critical care transport, the orderlies, physicians assistant, surgeon and anesthesiologist were wonderful. Good bedside manor and I felt well cared for. Even the discharge was quick and easy.

The ER was excellent. My ER nurse was attentive and helpful and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. The ER doctor was thorough as well and updated me accordingly. It took me a long time to get checked into the regular hospital. Once I was in the hospital, I sat in a hospital room that was missing equipment. I had nothing to call for an emergency etc for 30 min - I wasn't connected to monitors after fainting, just sitting in a bed. I had to tell people repeatedly I was not diabetic despite nurses coming in and wanting to take blood sugar levels. I waited 4+ hours for an "urgent" ultrasound, only to sit and hear everyone else around me get an ultrasound. When I inquired they told me I was last on the list and read back an incorrect room number for me. I never got the ultrasound. The cardiologist and neurologist were both great but were not my primary care. I found nurses and staff to be very nice, but were not proactive or aware. I thought they must be busy, but when I asked if they were busy they said they were steady but not super busy. If you have an emergency and are in the er great but wouldn't recommend this hospital if you have to get admitted to the hospital for a stay beyond an emergency room visit. Also the food service is terrible I didn't eat for 12 hours and the breakfast I ordered at 8am showed up at 10:20 and was cold.

I went to bon secours emergency room in short pump, who I give 5 stars. I was transferred to St Mary's for gallbladder surgery a few hours later. I was there for 3 hours, in pain and extremely nauseated before I finally received any medical attention. I got there at 8am but when a Dr finally saw me he told me that NO ONE was aware I was even there until 10:30am. My nurse during this time kept trying to get in contact with the wrong Dr at the wrong location. I have diabetes. After my procedures i was told i had to eat. They had NO sugar free jello or diabetes friendly food on the floor and the cafeteria was closed. The next day my husband went to kroger and brought me sugar free jello. I was given insulin in lieu of my regular meds. Everything was fine until a new nurse thought that I had to drink 8 ounces of orange juice everytime I received insulin. Wrong. My blood sugar numbers started shooting up. They brought in a diabetes specialist to talk to me and thank God she was there when the nurse tried to make me drink oj again and stopped her and tried to educate her on this subject. I ended up having to spend an entire extra day in the hospital because of this mistake. Is it a coincidence that after 5 days my insurance had to start paying my negotiated hospital bill? If you have a choice in what hospital to have surgery in DO NOT go to St Mary's. The worst hospital stay I've ever experienced. I will be notifying hospital administrators about all these mistakes.

I came here a few days ago because my boyfriend was having really bad chest pains he was explaining to them what was going on and they were calling us liars I really felt like we were being racially profiled . DO NOT COME HERE !! Who would want to come to a hospital just because? Whoever Kelly Grabbler is she should get fired for treating us the way she did.

We had a situation that escalated at my pediatricians office which lead to an extended stay at St.Mary's. When my pediatrician said we were going to St.Mary's I was a little nervous. Our family has never been to this hospital and the reviews weren't great but at this moment in time we didn't really have a choice so off to St.Marys we went. I have to say my preconceived notions about St.Marys could not have been more incorrect. The staff is phenomenal!!! Honestly the nurses at this hospital all deserve awards. The care and support they provided us were unmatched to ANY hospital I've ever had before. Here's what we loved: 1) Therapy dogs!! Who can rest a good snuggle and petting session from a sweet little pup. (Sidebar now we are totally shopping for a pup after our therapy dog interaction) 2) life care! This hospital has a life care child therapist that checks in with your child to talk thru any trauma or anxiety they may be feeling. I wish this was around when I was a kid3)No set visiting hours!! My husband and I were able to come and go as needed any time of day and we're still able to support our child!4) medical students! There are a plethora of Ned students running around trying to learn all the things. I loved being able to use our story as a teachable moment. All the students were gracious, kind and super supportive. 5) the doctors were wonderful. They answered all of our questions and kept us up to date on a treatment plan. 6) our hospital suite. Spacious, light and very clean. 7)RMCH Richmond volunteers. The activity kits, snacks, coffee and support were wonderful Overall I enjoyed our time at St.Mary's and will forever be grateful for this staff for caring for my child.

I come in with my girlfriend who is in agonizing pain in her wrist and hand. they took x-rays and when they came back, they said nothing was wrong. ABSOLUTE BS! If nothing was wrong, then why was she screaming and crying on the way home. They made her feel so invalid and dismissed. On the way there, her fingertips were very cold so the concern was something was blocking blood circulation. We mentioned it to the doctor and he said well you just had ice on your hand and she was trying to explain that that was before we got there but he didn't even hear us and just left. And ON THE DISCHARGE PAPERS, IT SAYS IT SAYS TO CALL A DOCTOR IS THE SKIN TURNED COLD, LOST FEELING/NUMB.TINGLY, AND HAVING TROUBLE MOVING A LIMB! THATS WHAT SHE CAME IN WITH! LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL! ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS GETTING YOU OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. DON'T GO HERE!!!!

Do not come to the ER here unless you have a very clear and concise problem. I have been here twice in the past few months for different problems and got the exact same basic scans/tests before being discharged with some BS answer without further testing. I gave them two stars because they did pull me back fairly quickly both times but my standard of care ended when the basic tests came back normal despite still being symptomatic. As soon as their ER gets busy they will kick you out. I came in with shortness of breath, tachycardia, and abdominal pain/pressure and they gave me lidocaine for the pain (which did nothing for the pressure which I told them) and tried to tell me that the reason I was having trouble catching my breath and my heart rate topping 150+ was because of indigestion. Oh and my potassium was 0.2 low so of course potassium pills will solve all my problems too. My tachycardia was down because shocker I was laying down for 2 hours waiting for the tests but it came back as soon as I started walking again. I left crying because I felt so dismissed and was still feeling like complete crap. A complete waste of time and money. I will never be going back here again.
