I met Dr Dal w Chun couple of yrs ago after I got treated not so well at One location at Innovation Rd with 3 other doctors. Dr Chun is also part of this group but practice in Tysons/Reston location. Very first time I met him not only he was a polite, he was very respectful to my needs and listened what I have to said. Not like other 3 doctors just brushed me off at other locations. Dr Chun ended up giving me Floater surgery on my right eyes it was bother by so much with floater builded up that I couldn't see anymore.
He is extremely professional, my eye surgery was successful that it made us so much different that I can see now!! He's continuously caring care with post- up visits to make sure I'm healing completely.
Dr Chun is beyond any doctor that I have EVER met whO is kind with unconditional care. He's extremeky special doctor and THE BEST DOCTOR I NEVER MET!!

I moved from NJ right after being treated at The Retina Specialist there. I had 8 Retina tears in my left eye where they used a laser to seal the tears. They referred me-to your group to continue my care in VA.I saw Dr Barazi 2 weeks after my last visit in NJ. He found a 9 th tear. I liked him immediately. I have had 2 tears in my right recently that were also repaired by laser.Had a bad retina tear in Dec and was having surgery 2 days later. Even at Xmas a great dr was there to handle my surgery. This office puts a lot of patients through like a well oiled machine. I know the procedure and I have no problem doing it. It is worth it to have high quality specialists.

Dr Barazi is my regular retina dr and he is amazing. So great at explaining things. I used a retina dr in NJ that referred me here. I had 8 Retina tears in L eye in NJ. Then Dr Barazi found 9th tear. A year later I had 2 tears in R eye. 2 weeks before Christmas I had a detachment in my Right eye. I was having surgery 2 days later by a great dr who is part of this group. You can not trust your eyes to any doctors and the doctors of this group are the best!!

From my arrival time it was 2 hours until the doctor saw me. I was done with the initial exams by PAs in 20 minutes but then we sat and sat while patients who arrived after us were seen first. The excuse given by aides was they were busy. They were not busy, they were over-booked by a lot. This is a classic abuse of patients by a practice more interested in billings than patient service. Dr. Sanders is excellent, but the practice business practices are unacceptable.

Excellent experience at the Reston location. Frozan brought me in for the initial assessment and did an excellent job taking a meticulous history and measuring my visual acuity and eye pressure. She was very knowledgeable, very professional and very pleasant. Dr. Ali explained the severity and prognosis of my condition in an easy to understand manner. He showed me my retina scan images which made it easier to understand what he was explaining to me. I trust him fully.

Thank you Dr. Ali to make me feel comfortable me being a scared patient surrounded by all these weird and big machines. You explained me what I needed to know. Showed pictures so I understand my condition. The whole visit was a breeze and fully explanatory: who really wants to spend long time at the doctors office, right?I am moving to Florida, but for my treatment will be coming back to Reston VA.Thank you.

My experience has been disappointing every time I have visited. The doctors here have no respect for the patients time and will let you wait for several hours, easily wasting half your day. Their only response is to book the fist appointment of the day to minimize the multiple hour wait times. I will not be returning.

In general, I think they have very good doctors, and good process. The only issue is that the waiting time seems long. I waited an hour after check in.

Great service, Ahmed was very good with the pre-check, getting history, checking eye pressure, eye test, ect.. Dr. Osman as usual was very optimistic, positive about my status, any yet straight forward, answering any of my questions.

The staff was nice and courteous. Dr. Barazi is patient, thorough, and explains in great detail that is easy to understand. Even though I had to be seen under not the best circumstances, I felt calmer when I left my appointment.

Check in was easy. Covid protocols in place. Dr. Ali was professional in analysis, good explanation with risks, listened to my concerns, and gave options for treatment. Would definitely recommend to others.

This is the first time I've gone to this location of the Reston location of the Retina Group. Observations are as follows: GOOD . Being next to the Reston Hospital, they have the aire of a hospital . Runs efficiently . If you like their Ophthalmologists at other locations, several also work here . Dr. Chun, my surgeon like most other doctors is professional Bad . But unlike the hospitals the staff ( that I dealt with) was incompetent - didn't know the the software, examination was rushed, war peeping the wrong eye and I had to tell her, eye drop was all over the place, had to tell her to use alcohol swab on the device that I would carets my chin and forehead on for eye examination, taking picture of the retina, the cross hair wasn't in focus which meant the picture wasn't focused but fortunately Dr. Chun didn't need it- it doesn't get much worst than this incompetence! . Being a Reston location even the staff have an attitude . Parking is difficult . Dr. Chun's - surgeon - bedside manner leaves some to be desired. He's a good mechanic however! Bottom line - l've been going to the Tyson's location, but I won't go to Reston again! There're similar issues at Tyson but slightly better. I'm advising my Ophthalmologist to not refer me or anyone else to the Retina Center. In fact, I'm considering changing my surgeon or not going to the retina centers period! One more thing - healthcare is about the quality of service. The majority - one sigma or more - of procedures that surgeons perform are routine and just about any specialist can do it in his/her sleep, so it's not about if you have the best surgeon,. What makes or breaks a procedure is the office staff and the quality of customer care. I believe Retina Ctr has become too large to be able to provide good patient care!

I had surgery for a macular pucker about a year ago. Dr. Ali performed the surgery and I have seen him for 6+ follow-up. He is fantastic, explains everything carefully, and helps you think through you surgical and non-surgical options.
