Ìf I could give no stars I would. Since I been in this area of portsmouth. My mail never showed up. Or place at some one body else door. Even left completely out side the apartment complex. So far I have had at least over 500 dollars worth of product stolen.

I was there on a Wednesday about not receiving mail. The problem was not resolved. I called the next day. Google stated it is not busy. So, I called five times and no representative.

I have given it over a week and now I’m over it. I had TWO PACKAGES that claimed they were delivered but they were not in my mailbox on June 24th at 11:33am. I was left a note a few days later claiming they were at the post office. I went and they were infact not at the post office. I went 2 days later and they still were not at the post office. Lucky one of the sellers refund me and I order again but I make the mistake of using my address. Well somehow despite having other things delivered this package says that it is held at the post office per customer request which is NOT true. I go to the post office and guess what. It’s not there. I leave a note in my mailbox this time asking about this. Now the driver is claiming they don’t know anything about the two other packages and the third one is at the post office. Im so over usps wasting my time and losing things I have paid for.

I would say terrible customer service, but that would mean actually speaking to a person.
We put mail on hold for a week, only to wake up to an email from informed delivery saying a package will be delivered that day DESPITE having a mail hold.
Tried to call the office for an hour in attempts to have them actually not deliver the mail, only for no one to answer the phones and zero way of getting a hold of a real human who could help with this issue. (There is no automated option to say “you’re delivering my mail, with a mail hold in place).
Package and mail got delivered anyway, we were states and hours away. Gone by the time we came home. Thanks so much!

Walked into the post office like I do any other normal day and the lady with the medusa snakes on her head ALWAYS ALWAYS has an attitude. I get it girl. You ain’t happy working in customer service because you have no customer service skills. Must be a rough life you livin with all that hate, bitter and jealousy in your heart. And it’s always a female too. Smh. Do us all a favor BOO, get a different job. Pathetic.

First time I've ever encountered this lines were long. It was busy. It was an hour before closing and the clerk actually called in help. I was literally flabbergasted and shocked at the speed with which a 14 deep flying got handled. Then I looked behind me when I left and there were 14 more in line they were still going.... Praise be to postal Service workers who actually work!

The only reason this post office has stars is because you can’t put zero to write a review.
That being said I’ve been having issues with my regular mail for over a year now! We have lived at this same address since moving to Portsmouth, never changed our names on the box, added or stopped mail for any reason.
I have not received mail ( i know this because after not hearing from whatever place i was waiting on i contacted them and they informed me with the dates they mailed out said mail.) I typically get my mail every 3-4 days and that causes bills and other things to be late which causes more distributions in our every day lives.
I have been to the post office to speak with a supervisor who just rolled their eyes and blamed it on the next person.
I spoke to consumer Affairs and they responded back the first time with something about informed delivery, nothing to do with the lost and late mail. The second time they opened the same claim up the agent told me that i need to be patient with them
As they have many people with the same complaints and aren’t receiving mail daily.
So clearly this isn’t going to fix itself,

I have NEVER experienced such lack of service. We've moved almost every year for the past 13 years in various states. This is the first time we've experienced such terrrrrrrible anything from usps stemming from Portsmouth. It's been nearly a month since we've been able or even allowed to receive or gather our mail! Automated system is equally as ignorant.

This place is a joke. We had a package that was shipped express and required a signature. Our cameras showed a mail carrier walk up, without the envelope, apply a "Missed You" note without knocking or ringing doorbell.
Then when we scheduled re-delivery for the next day they just decided not to. Left it at the office for pickup. If you don't want to do your job then quit!

Worst Post office in Tidewater. Regardless of day of week or time it is a disaster. Is there any oversight ?
