Sister was brought here in an ambulance as she was having heart problems. Got here, and the front desk lady was on her phone ignoring me, we eventually got told she was in a no visitor area. She had blood work and some other stuff done about an hour later and was moved into a 1 cisitor room. She was going to get a chest x-ray, but then they said they had the wrong person. About 3 hours later, we asked what was going on, and they told us they were waiting on an x-ray, the one they sent out of her room. About 20 minutes later, a nurse came in and asked for her in the waiting room, when she was already in a room. We eventually got that x-ray done, but she is still yet to see a doctor. The only thing good about this hospital is the nice security guard, who was doing the nurses' job and getting things figured out for us.Edit: They gave us false results to get us out. They told us that my sister had a UTI. Took the exact same paperwork to our doctors, and it shows no sign of a UTI. It turns out she was having epileptic seizures. Thanks.

Avoid this place at all costs! Lack of concern especially from a floating nurse named Beatrice on the 4th floor. No love for patient care. License should be revoked. Please once and for all shut the hospital down! Bon Secours remove your brand from the hospital. There are a good few who care but they deserve better. I ended up at a better care facility. Don’t go and I pray if you do you are able to speak about it. Everyone isn’t wrong.

My husband had two knee replacement surgeries at Maryview recently. The medical staff were amazing... They were caring and so accommodating to help make the visits as comfortable as possible. Specifically the Orthopedic staff and Dr Benjamin Westcott. Dr Westcott and his medical team treated us like we were the only patients there. They provided thorough answers to our questions during the stay and after going home they followed up with us to make sure everything was okay. We would highly recommend Dr Westcott and his staff and Maryview Medical Center for any orthopedic needs or services.

Very rude nurses, zero compassion and understanding for older people .Bathrooms smell like urine. Not recommendable!! I heard nurse saying to an old man WHEN YOU ARE HERE I AM YOUR BOSS!! I am sorry a nurse is to care about people not bossing around.

I brought my son to the Emergency Room a little after 9pm this evening. It's after midnight and we're still sitting in the waiting room. This is the poorest service I've ever experienced in "healthcare" if that's what you wanna call it. This is horrible and every time I ask how much longer, it's like I'm speaking a foreign language.

I have received the best service for 4 different procedures in the last 4 months. I had labs drawn, 2 outpatient procedures one requiring anesthesia, and a surgery that required an overnight stay. I was treated by the most caring and professional caregivers I have ever experienced in my 65 years. Everyone from the security guards at the information desk, the staff at registration, the nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeon were kind, answered all my questions and concerns, and spent all the time I needed to be confident in my health decisions. I highly recommend the Bon Secours Maryview team and don’t understand the low ratings.

Last year I had a heart attack. I had only lived here a few months. The hospital ICU was on point! The cardiologist who saved my life great. That Is it. My regular room was not clean. And the head nurse I spoke to was rude.

A simple lung biopsy left me with a chest tube two weeks ago. Which the physician said happens in 4% of cases. But that tube had to be replaced by another. No report of how often that occurs. Spent two nights in a hospital room. Nursing staff was exceptionally good in that room, and the biopsy was negative. But I'll not return to Maryview unless there's no viable alternative.

If there is a "thing" of one bad apple then this would be the example of it. Toward the end of my stay of an intense operation at Maryview, prior to my discharge my wonderful RN took me to the restroom, my husband was on his way back to the hospital for the pick-up. My nurse told me he would be back in time for me to finish preparing to go and he left for the Nurses Station and closed the door to the restroom. While in the restroom only moments later I could hear the distinct sound of my luggage being unzipped then I heard another section of the luggage being unzipped. I could hear it through the door! I couldn't move fast though. Since I had been in the hospital for more than 2 days I had no reason to go in my bag, it was zipped. I sent my main wallet and purse home with my husband (Thank the Good Lord)! When I came back to the room I found that the thieves were in a rush as they left my garments strewn about after rummaging. I tried to have an open mind about this facility, but it was that one "apple". While staying there (if you must), leave all valuables at home or with a loved one.

The times I have been here have been adequate.. These reviews just show how people are these days. Healthcare has declined so much because our country has problems. Fewer nurses doing more work can't always give these "me first" people the care they think they should have. If they were the ones trying take care of an ever growing population with health problems they would look at the situation differently.

I was hesitant about being transferred here after a severe heart incident. I was always told it was nicknamed "murderview" well I can wholeheartedly say I received the best care. My nurses Rayna and Jon were exceptional. The nurse practitioner Desiree was TOP-NOTCH!!!! The cardiologist I had was OUTSTANDING! His name was Dr. Callaghan. He put me at ease the moment I met him. He gave me great care. I felt I was taken great care of and I have zero complaints or negative remarks.

20years ago on 2 separate occasions I was at the ER for 8hrs exactly and 6hrs 30min roughly. People have died waiting in the waiting area of the ER. A friend of mine had a baby and her Dr was the "either Indian or Asian" obgyn Dr that got arrested for tieing women's tubes and sterilizing them in whatever ways so that they can't have baby's in the future. He did something bad to my friends uterus and stomach when she was having her baby. "By accident or on purpose nobody knows" She was she started bruising bad and big area above and near her vagina got to a point she was screaming and rithing in pain and the lady nurse who you first talk to at the ER told us we were going to have to leave if she keeps screaming THIS WAS AS RECENT AS LESS THAN 3 YEARS o btw I once went there because I had a engine partially fall off a lift and pin my hand against a transmission. When I went there she through me some napkins like the big car ones and told me I'll be called shortly 1hr and a half later with an er with only a few people in it like 3 including me. No I've been up since 3am with a very bad something going on in near my aortic blood vessel in my stomach in pain and my car is broke down and I have been scared out of my mind not knowing what to do because if I call the ambulance and they take me to this hospital the chances of them finding out what's wrong with me and actually helping me are SLIM TO NONE and guess what when and if most likely when they don't find out or help me there going to kick me out and I'm going to be to messed up to walk back home then what do I do???! Die trying to walk home because our state failed us at protecting us because they didn't shut this hospital down or AT THE VERY LEAST INVESTIGATED THEM FIRED THE BAD DOERS AND REHIRED BETTER STAFF....If you value your life do not go here. Btw there is so much other stuff that's happened at this place I just posted this to give you an idea about this place. PLEASE SOMEONE ANYONE PLEASE SOMEONE AT THE VERY LEAST INVESTIGATE THIS hospital emergency room. I should let it be known that I'm not speaking for the entire hospital as I haven't dealt with it as a whole but I can only imagineP.s. they have staff in the rating section here rating there hospital emergency room as if they were patients there. It's crazy. Go look through the comments below my comment here and see if you can spot the "good ratings"

I came here for an ultrasound on my legs. Very confusing to find your way around but the building was nice and clean and my nurse was extremely friendly.

This place deserves -5 stars i was brought here by ambulance but next time I would rather walk to another hospital when they wheeled me to the room the room wasn’t even put together no sheets on the bed. The only upside was nurse Laura was very pleasant. I waited in the room for 2.5 hours finally got fed up and went to the nurses station Mind you I had pressed the call button but was either ignored or just hung up on when I asked a question. At the nurses station they tell me that they haven’t assigned me a doctor yet but all the nurses are on their phones. This place is a joke and needs to be shut down I wouldn’t send my dead body here

This his the worst hospital I have ever seen. My son was taken there for stroke level BP and possible heart attack. How ever they sent him home and said get this blood pressure medicine. However the next day back again same issues. They kept him in ER for two days barely seeing a sole, doctor only came to blurt out the wrong diagnosis with no explanation of what it is. Turned I and walked out.had to ask if he was going to eat or if I had to get him something. Went up stairs to cardiac unit, well long story short a week in and finally out . He will never use that hospital again oh and a week in this hospital and no shower available for him to use none in the room and none on the unit . Care in ER is disgusting o,n the unit was a 5
