I've seen Khuong since he was at the old Tysons (strip mall by Circuit City) PR Partner and then lost touch with him. Was soo happy to eventually find him at Oakton and he has done wonders at the salon, the team! My teen daughter adores going there to see Khuong and Olivia...everyone is soo nice and professional and do exactly what we look for!

Jon, Regan, Pete, brandi and julie r very good whenever me and my pal go there. They r excellent in everything and pete is good for men’s haircut. I have never had any problem of scheduling or cancellation of any appointment and they always accommodate you there. Service is A class at this salon. I have been their customer of more than five years.

Hairstylist Lucky gets five stars; he is great and he is the reason I'm not giving PR a one-star review. I went to my haircut appt last Saturday, and they advised that Lucky was not there and my appt was cancelled. I said no one called to cancel and the hairdresser at the cash register said they tried to reach me several times to tell me. I advised her this was not true. I showed her the appt reminder texts and emails and my recent calls and voicemails - no calls from PR at Partners - and she insisted they had called repeatedly. Then she made up a story about them not being able to cancel because they couldn't reach me. I stated that made no sense, as you cancel because the hairstylist is unavailable - otherwise you get constant reminders of the appt., only to show up and no one is there to cut your hair. Then she said "This isn't even my job" and walked back to her chair. Mistakes happen, not ideal, but you don't just lie to customers and blame them for your mistakes. Rude; horrible customer service.

Do not come to this place. The haircuts are fine but they have no regard for their customers time....have waited on each cut for over 30 minutes. They have also cancelled on me at the last minute. Once we showed up to learn the hair person went home and rescheduled us for no apparent reason. And they never say sorry or seem concerned with the amount of your time they waste. Beware.

I decided to have all of the pandemic hair growth cut off and everything re-layered. Unfortunately, when I got home and really got a good look in the mirror, the layers were completely uneven all over. The unevenness was especially noticeable in the front, where one side was about an inch shorter than the other. I’m giving the salon two stars because they were able to get me in the next day for a different stylist to fix it for free, but no refund was offered and I had to confirm that I wasn’t going to get charged for the fix-it appointment as the receptionist wasn’t sure if I was going to be charged or not.Service: Haircut

i had a horrible experience at PR at Partners Oakton location on Sunday 12/4. I thought the advertising for PR at Partners was great, so I decided to give one of their salons a try. I had a appointment in the afternoon at 3PM which I confirmed and showed up 15 minutes early. After waiting until 13:15 PM. I asked the receptionist about when would my stylist would be ready. I was told that she wasn't available until 5:00PM. This wasn't until two hours later!!! I asked if another stylist could cut my hair, but the cost of a haircut and blowdry from that other stylist was $15 more and furthermore, this other stylist would only be able to cut my hair, someone else in that shop would do the blow dry. Why do they book appointments, if they can't take you at your appointment time and the stylist is only available 2 hours after your appointment time? Do they think I have all the time in the world to just sit and wait there two hours? I won't be going to any PR at Partners again.

The individual’s who have cut my hair have always done an amazing job. The problem is when you leave a message or email this location, no one returns your call or email. It became too frustrating to reschedule my appointment that I elected to go elsewhere.

Emma Day is my favorite colorist of all time (over 21 years this is saying something!). She gradually & safely turned my damaged bleached hair back into soft and pretty hair again. She is kind and talented and truly listens. If it's not a great game plan she keeps it real and tells me and works to find a compromise that will be more reasonable. Emma is the best!

I think the must frustrating thing during this process was the lack of communication from the stylist who did my hair and then the owner, who redid it the second time. The first picture in the salon was in Dec. 2021, which I LOVED, so I went to the same stylist. I just wanted more blonde around my crown and to go a tiny bit lighter blonde on those parts. The two pictures in the bathroom are after my next appointment, which was August 2022. I called when I got home to let the stylist know I was unhappy. My hair appeared darker after the first appointment, not lighter and my haircut was also uneven. I got a full highlight and haircut so $245. The stylist was more than willing to help redo the cut and add more color, however, he left our convo on read when I tried to schedule a day and time for 5 days. So, I called to ask for the owner to redo it and to speak to him about my experience. On the day I arrived, I could tell the owner didn't know anything about why I was coming or that I even was. He asked who my appointment was with and I said him and he looked a little surprised. I showed him the first two pictures and explained I just wanted more visible highlights on top and blonder. During my hair appointment he asked me to hold the foils for him to grab "so I wouldn't be bored", they did not have a dryer for me to go under so it was never used, I had to ask if he used toner, to which he said he thought "it should be good without it" (he did use it after I asked for it), I sat for 20 min with wet hair next to the stylist who did the first cut and color (because the owner "doesn't do haircuts"), and at the last two pictures you can see streaky-yellow I'm left with. I called to speak with the owner the next day about a refund because everything was so unprofessional and my hair looked horrible. Even if he didn't refund the color, I never received a call back. I don't know whether communication is happening in this salon or not, but beyond that my hair is ruined. I had virgin hair for 7 years before the first December 2021 appt. I will be going to get it fixed and spend hundreds more to correct this mess. Only the recut worked out.

I have been to the PR Partner location in Oakton a few times and have had worse experiences each time. The place does not seem to be managed well--one time when I went in the stylist had only booked me for a tone (20 mins max) when I had asked for a cut and balayage (2+ hours). Today, the front desk worker hadn't showed up so I waited in the chair for over 30 mins while my stylist ran back and forth doing some of my hair, then answering the phone, etc. I feel bad because I know it is not the stylists' fault for the mismanagement, but it makes the whole experience really stressful. Also, the person who cut my hair today (I forget who) smelled like straight cigarettes which is not exactly the pleasant salon smell you look for. I think a lot of the good stylists are moving to other locations--the Oakton one for me is just always SUPER unpleasant and they never do a great job. Won't be going back
