My sister and I dropped her taxes off in March. I called mid April to check on the status and advise them of her passing. I was told it would be 3-4 more weeks but she would call when they were done. On July 18th I went to the office after not getting any phone calls and they were sitting on a book shelf and supposedly finished on May 27th. I paid the fee so they could be e-filed to complete the process and as of today, September 25th, it is still not done as the IRS has no return. I called and someone was supposed to call me back. 4 1/2 hrs went by, the office closed, and I never got a call back. I will be going to the office and reporting them.

Avoid this place. I was a client for about 15 years. This was once a reputable CPA firm. Things have drastically changed under new ownership. I have had to file complaints with the Virginia board of accountancy and notify the IRS. I am glad I took my bookkeeping somewhere else.

Deerfield Associates Inc was a wonderful business but was sold in October 2023. The corporation was closed. The new owner is operating under the trade name of Deerfield Associates but 4 of the 5 employees left within the first 8 months along with the majority of the clients. The level of accuracy and competency is slim to none compared with the former business.

Deerfield Associates Inc was sold in October 2023 and the corporation was closed. Four out of the five employees left within eight months along with many of the clients. Was a wonderful full service accounting firm but things have dramatically changed since the sale.

I have been using Deerfield Associates (Emily ) for 20 yrs. she’s very professional and very responsive when needed. She’s more than a Five Star she’s a 10. She goes over and Beyond the call of duty. I trust her 100% !!
