I rarely do a negative review but this one cannot be helped. I have used pepboys several times for my vehicle needs but this was my absolute worst experience. The store manager there, Michael Anderson, is the poster child for Rude, despicable customer service and beyond poor attitude. If I could, I'd give this location a minus 5 star rating. After paying for my vehicle online and arriving for its pickup and explaining to him that I had already paid for the repairs, he began with "why would you think it's paid for? Things went downhill quickly from there. There was a glitch in pepboys system that failed to record the transaction. Michael failed to follow up with corporate, even after I presented him with the text I received from pepboys and the paid confirmation. Such individuals reflect poorly on this business and the military community they serve. This caused a lengthy delay in my retrieving my vehicle at a time that I could ill afford. If I were the undercover boss of this company, Michael Anderson would be needing a new job where customer service and contact with the public is not required.

Took my truck to Pep boys recently on a Sunday for an Oil change and TPMS system calibration. They said no problem but you need to go to AutoZone to pickup the oil and filter. They said they could do the work in 1.5 hours. So I waited. 3 hours later I asked how much longer and they said very soon, 45 minutes later the guy tells me its done. I paid with a debit and went to my truck and the TPMS system has not been touched. I went back into the store and they wanted me to drive the truck back to their shop and the mechanic will take care of it. Another hour goes by and the guy tells me they will have to return my money as they were not able to fix my TPMS system. He then told me they have no cash and I would have to return the next day when the manager was there. I went the next day and the woman behind the counter became irritated which made me irritated and she said I would have to come back again in 3 days to get the money that they stole from me for the work they could not do. Made phone calls to their corporate office and no-one returned my call. Worst operation I have ever seen. Stay away from this place, looks like I will have to go to small claims court to get my money back. They are not even worth the 1 star I gave them!!!!!!!!!!!!

I work for Mastec Advance technologies and drive a Fleet company Van that uses Norfolk Pep Boys, On Monday my van caught a Flat and had to be brought in for a Tire change and it got done to put me back on the Road to continue my work day, I work across the Chesapeake bay bridge on the eastern shore and as I got to my 1rst job I open my back doors to pull out my safety cones and all I see is this big doughnut tire on top of all my Directv equipment and tools and I immediately lost it like WTH this just didn’t happen but it did so I called Pep Boys and spoke with Manager Allen who listened to my concerns was very polite and professional even though I was a lil perturbed he immediately relieved me of my frustration by apologizing for the carelessness of the technician and requested that I bring it in the AM, which I did and explained it to the Shop manager Michael who again apologize to me and had no technician on duty at the time to fix the issue as I had to go to work, he requested I leave the Tire and return after work which I did and got waited on by the Manager Allen and asst Manager Kimberly, seeing that their only technician on duty was busy they both Allen and Kimberly took matters in their own hands and guided my van to the station to be worked on amazingly Allen the manager rolled up his sleeves and started to fix the issue himself which was a difficult task because the spare goes underneath the Van and He and I had no clue how the spare goes underneath, He didn’t allow that to give me mechanical talk or him from completing what I wanted done, HE GOT IT DONE.. I really was empress with professionalism his patience and his courteousness I just wanted acknowledge and Thank Allen, Kimberly and Micheal for getting my issue done extra Kudos and appreciation to Allen who always treats me well when I go there you da Man Allen???? but seriously don’t let that technician touch my van no more..???✊?✊?Thank you Allen…

This store came to our rescue when we flattened 2 tires while in Norfolk from Pennsylvania, late on a Saturday evening. Alan, was so kind and funny and just great to work with. I’ll forever be grateful to him and his team for guiding us how to get the tow truck to their shop, then replacing two tires and getting us on our way Sunday morning. We are so thankful.

It was my first time ever using Pep Boys!! When I arrived, I was greeted at the door by Allen. His customer service was EXCELLENT! He was nice, informative and very knowledgeable on the services being provided. They are short staffed so there is a little wait, but I still received quality service for a reasonable price. My coupon was accepted with no problem. I will definitely be using this location for ALL my service needs!

Michael Anderson has the best attitude and customer service skills I've seen in a long time. He had a great sense of humor and was very engaging. When he noticed I was a fellow Retired Veteran, I was able to get a ride home and back to the shop to pick up my vehicle. I will definitely use this Pep Boys again. Thanks Mike....

Not only that it helps the company it's make a person feel good to see all the people that come to Pep Boys acknowledge good and a hard working employee like myself. I’ve been there twice, once to get all 4 tires replaced and recently to get a State Inspection. I appreciate the professionalism and light hearted atmosphere, they have there and ability to answer all the questions you have. A special shout-out to Michael A. On 8-12-21 our minivan sustained a tire blowout as we were driving home to Richmond from a day at the beach with our 3 young children. The AAA technician told us our spare would not get us home due to all the potholes and construction on 64. He directed us to your Pep Boys store.We arrived around 6:30pm where Allen immediately helped us. He was cheerful and personable throughout the whole process. He discovered the store did not have our precise tire in stock, but he and Wayne, the tire tech, problem-solved until they could figure out a tire that would safely get us home.As we were eating on Chickfila's curb across the street, Allen called to inform us we had a nail through the tire wall of ANOTHER tire! Fortunately he and Wayne were able to replace that as well. We left the store at 8:15, past closing time, but with 2 new tires to get us home.Allen and Wayne were extremely helpful in our time of need, and we want to recognize their exemplary customer service.

I was helped by two different people Will in the evening and a female in the morning. I was pleased with Will not too much the female. I felt like he wasnt trying to take advantage of me especially since I am a woman. I really appreciate Will yesterday for going above and beyond for me. Friendly staff ,easy drop off service, but be prepared to spend some money when getting service done?
