Came to deposit multiple checks and was turned away and told to do it myself one by one on their app. Terrible service

Only 2 fairly comfortable seats to sit in, with your back to the door! No one likes their backs to the door. The couch is a joke and should be removed for health safety reasons. The people here were fine. Not that fake warm stuff, but simply honest, the way I prefer! The attendant handled my 2 issues, which were "technical issues" caused by the bank very quickly and efficiently and gave me his card, just in case the technical issues happen again. He was efficient. Unlike other branches I don't remember an apology for the bank glitches that had me driving down there in the first place.I LIKE the more open environment of this branch and it's other health safety features for it's guests instead of the crowded environment they have at other branches. The appointment process worked perfectly for me so the couch wasn't an issue, but again, you should NEVER have to go into a bank branch to resolve issues so that figured negatively into my rating. Also, I've been a customer of this bank since it was originally formed. Customers DO like to hear, "Also, thank you so much for being a long term customer!" I've never heard those comments at this location. Am I just a number with them or a long term appreciated customer?I also don't do Facebook and had to abandon Twitter, so the "canned" responses to all of these other reviews leave me very cold.

The worst Bank of America and they refuse to change. Complained to the branch manager about the teller at the front. Dark skinned lady is so rude and inconsiderate! She needs to be fired immediately. I will never be returning to this branch again.

I walked in hoping to talk to an associate about opening a business banking account, no one was at the desk for to make an appointment. So I sat in the waiting area thinking someone would ask if I needed help... nope instead I watched one associated scrolling on the internet evening made I contact with me a couple of times... so I left after 30 min. Got in the car to call them, no answer, tried again and was immediately hung up on. Very disappointing

Would give less if I could. They towed my car even though I am a customer because I walked across the street after using the bank to grab coffee. Great customer service. Was also lied to by the bank that they called to have it towed until the towing company forced them to admit it. Horrible cranky customer service.

Bank of A has gone downhill since covid. Most branches are still closed. Everyone wants an appt for everything . Used this branch today again because all the ones by me have no notary or branch is closed. Drive 40!min after checking open time online which says 9 am. Get there only to be told it’s now 10 am. Had to leave and come back . Wait again due to only one notary. Everybody in bank should be a notary.I think it’s time to make a change on banks ……..

Terrible customer service, the woman at the desk was so rude and refused to help me. I was simply trying to finish opening my account and she told me they have nothing about opening accounts on the website and that I was completely wrong. She was extremely rude.

3-8-22. the Ghent area, like any area of its kind, can have trouble finding parking. The lot behind the Bank of America used to be a great spot since it was never hard finding parking and serviced the whole immediate area quite well. Today, however, the owners decided that they must have all 40-50 spots of that lot for bank customers ONLY and have TOWED all other cars in the lot. Never have i ever seen that lot full with customers of the bank, not even the small side lot.To just tow everyone's cars is super petty and honestly ridiculous. Driving by this lot now out of all the available spots ONE SINGLE CAR was in the lot (of the 40 to 50 available spots.) Waste of a decent parking lot.

Extremely Poor and deplorable service; not courteous at all. Not even the most basic, minimal level you would expect from a financial institution. The greeter claimed he was concerned and offered to “coach” the horrific teller after I provided what I had encountered but based on the many low rated reviews below, I am not even sure if his concern was genuine or if he is working diligently to work issues and upper management is not supporting him (starting to think it is the later reason). Why would a manger of the branch not intervene and work hard to prevent and null these issues; perhaps they are not getting support either. Don’t know and really do not need to worry about it as I did provide I would not visit this branch again even though it is convenient. I think I am going to slowly pull back from utilizing BOFA financial services.

This bank sucks. It is located in a area that has nothing but money. On any given day there is only one teller and several floor people. Instead of having so many people on the floor, have some of them crossed trained to do both. Today I walked in and was told that the twller line was closed fro 30 minutes. This so so inconvenient for business customers who dont have a debit card to make deposits. I understand we are in an age of technology and the banks seems to be pushing customers to banking online, but in this case where I have to make buisness deposits daily, it is necessary to be able to make the deposits in a timely manner so that I am able to get back to my store and assist my customers, not have them waiting for me because I have to wait to be assisted. Some times the wait is longer than 30 minutes. Come on Bank of America, please do better.

Just opened multiple business accounts at BOA banking center on Colonial Ave in Norfolk. Was greeted by Samantha (Sam) Soupene, Relationship Banker, who walked my partner and me through the complicated process of opening these accounts.Sam took the time to explain all of the features and benefits of the DDA options and made sure we chose the option the best fit our current needs and let us know we could make changes whenever needed.Sam and the Manager both guided us through the process in a very professional and warm manner.I had not stopped in that center for more the 30 years because I didn't want to feel like a "number" at a large bank. We could immediately tell Sam genuinely enjoys her position, listens well and looks to provide solutions for her customers. She was very professional and we never felt rushed even though there we others waiting.I also want to also commend the center Manager for stepping in when the bank's system wasn't working properly and manually completing forms for us to execute. Her experience was also very helpfulCustomers return for more business and recommend others to that business when there is excellent service and that's what we experienced with Sam and her Manager today.

Elsie is the worst bank teller I have ever experienced. Every time I go in this place even if she is not my teller she comes over and gives me dirty looks and talks about me to the other tellers. Always asked what they are doing for me. I always come in for deposits and that's it. I don't think it's any of her business if she is not helping. Today she told the other teller in front of me that I'm "a hot mess". I try to keep my interactions with her very minimal I have never said anything to her other than thT I have deposits and gave my ID. But for some reason she treats me like I'm garbage and I'm giving her too much work.

Everyone who works here is incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. When BOA’s system crashed, affecting multiple branches, the employees went above and beyond to meet my needs, even though they did not have access to all their resources. Diane has been my teller the last two times, and she is wonderful to work with.
