I went in for a fitting, it wasn’t even busy and had to sign in and wait 10 minutes for someone to help me. I told her I was having problems with the brooks I had always worn and wanted to try something different. But she didn’t offer a gait analysis, the foot/ arch test or anything. Just brought out basically random shoes from other brands and didn’t advise me on anything and didn’t seem to know about the shoes at all. Ended up in a hoka 1/2 size too big and it’s so annoying. Their return policy sucks too, you only have 30 days and if you run in them, you only get store credit. For a fitting experience as bad they provide i did not want to be stuck with shoes from here. I’m going to have to drive to richmond to get a real fitting.

This was my first and second visit to Point 2. It took me two trips to get the right shoes. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to my needs. Getting a good fit is always difficult for me, so I needed all the help that the staff happily provided.

I had an exceptional experience at Point 2 Running! Ruthie was amazing from start to finish. She took the time to properly fit me for a pair of running shoes that are perfect for my needs. Not only did she help me find the right shoes, but she also custom ordered a Garmin watch and a second pair of shoes for me. Throughout the process, Ruthie kept me updated with regular emails, providing tracking information and updates, which I really appreciated. The level of customer service here is outstanding, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality running shoes and top-notch service!

I have decided that I am going to run a marathon. Not just one, but one on each continent. I have only ever run a 5K before. I ran cross-country in high school, but that was over a decade ago. Needless to say, I needed to start with the right shoe. After some research, I realized I should start with a gait analysis.
Enter, Point 2 Running! I chose this place based on previous reviews and how close it is to home. I’m so glad I went. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a woman working behind the counter. I let her know I was there for my analysis, and she took my name down. I roamed the store for a little under 10 minutes until my name was called (and correctly! I appreciate anyone who takes the time to pronounce my name properly). The absolute angel that helped me today was Amanda. She’s the reason I’ve decided to get back into leaving reviews.
As a newbie in the world of running, I didn’t know what to expect outside of my TikTok and YouTube research. I thought I would be overwhelmed with information. I let her know I had no intention of purchasing anything today—I came to learn more about my feet, basically. She was so kind, open, and understanding! Most of all, she explained everything to me in a way that made sense. She immediately gained my trust.
I found out that my feet are actually half a size bigger than I thought this whole time. We did the rest of my analysis. It’s really cool technology if you’ve never done it before. Apparently, I have a light pronation when I walk and overpronation while running. She explained what all of that meant thoroughly to me and answered all my extra questions.
Then she brought me to the section of stability shoes for running and explained why those shoes would work best for me. Every shoe I tried on felt like I was walking on a cloud. I wish I had more time to spend in the store, but I had another appointment to get to right after.
If she ever sees this, she may think it was just another day at work, but for me, she really helped me along my journey. When I complete my first marathon, a small part of it will be because of her, and I will always be grateful for that! She didn’t try to upsell me; she genuinely helped guide me in the right direction.
When I’m ready to purchase my shoes, I will be coming back to shop with Amanda. She deserves a raise! You have a customer for life in me. :)

Loved the personal service! Used tech to analyze my gait and arches. Then brought out 4 options each with different levels of cushioning. Number 3 was the winner! Prices very competitive as well. Beats online shopping by a mile. Thanks!

Wow! I will be recommending this store to everyone I know!
Lorraine and Amanda you both are wonderful! I went in not fully knowing what to expect. Surprisingly, I was met with friendly knowledgable staff that exceeded my expectations.
The time efficient process starts with a quick measure of both feet, data analysis of the pressure of the foot, then a walk, jog, or run on the treadmill. The staff immediately grabs some shoes that they think will be suitable for you. You try on a few, then decide what feels best. It’s that easy. I have had reoccurring shin splints for years, and was on my way to giving up my running journey. Luckily, I didn’t need to thanks to this amazing family owned business!
If you are not happy with your shoes even after wearing them, you can exchange them. Which just proves further that this business cares about you! I had to go back and get a firmer shoe for my pronation and they exchanged them, no problem.
To add to my testimony, I got kind of emotional on my walk after purchasing my shoes because I NO longer have shin splints when walking or running.
Go! You won’t regret it!

Our daughter gifted me with a Point 2 Running Co gift card for my birthday. I don't run- but I enjoy 5 mile walks or hikes, and she was concerned my feet needed better shoes. I reluctantly visited the shop- signed in for a 'walk' analysis and recommendation on new walking shoes. Connor, the assistant, was kind, courteous, knowledgable, and patient. He got me into a pair of shoes I now love. I was so impressed that I brought my husband back the next day- Connor again helped us- and we are both happy with the shoes and service. So glad the business has Connor as a sales associate. Highly recommend
