“I moved down to Raleigh, NC, 3 years ago and I really miss this place. At that time, Pam (ran the hot food section in the store's rear area) had already departed for her new life in the Pacific northwest, but her legacy was upheld by the great staff who succeeded her. I lived in Haymarket and would often make the drive to Glascock's for the great chicken, steak and cheese, and other delectable offerings. I'm a senior citizen, but Ryan at the register would always smilingly ask of me, "How are we doing today young man"? How refreshing! If he is still there, he may remember me - I once excitedly told he and Joe about this beautiful hawk that seemed to make the space in back of the store its own preserve. Miss the place a lot - but NC does not take $500 a month out of my military pension as the exalted state of Virginia did. Hence, my departure. Cheers and bless all at Glascock.”

Put it this way: everything Walmart should be but isn’t, this store is! No post-apocalyptic ‘bread line’ here! “This Giant location recently underwent a major transformation. They rearranged the store, removed older refrigeration units and replaced a lot of the open air units with units that have doors on them - so as to be more energy efficient and environmentally friendly.They did a major upgrade to the Deli/Cheese/Olive/Seafood section - to be much higher end and on par with a lot of what Wegmans offers. More hot food options, soup options, sushi options, etc.The entranceway into the store down by the pharmacy side has been permanently closed - due to rampant ongoing theft.They also gutted the restrooms and rebuilt them from the ground up - nice, clean, and modern!Nice upgrades - much appreciated!#Giant”
