I love the service that I receive every visit. I have shown my children the importance of banking where they know who you are and treat you like family. Now they are receiving the same service that I have been accustomed to. Thanks to all but especially Sheri Jamerson for making it all possible.

I am a stockholder of the Bank of Essex. I went to the annual meeting and complained about my treatment on two occasions. I was told it would end. Today I go to make a deposit for my wife for a check she had written on our joint account. The teller gets on the phone. I have to wait 12 minutes. Why? I get home and he has cleared the check with my bank. I will be selling my stock and bills will be paid through my account at a bank where I am not treated like a suspect.

The people are great. My issue is with bank policy. $7 fee to cash an Essex Bank check issued by a local school for payroll purposes, because I don't have an account. It doesn't matter that the payer does have an account.
