This is now my hardware store of choice because of the knowledge, service, customer support and the employee's attitude! The only this I would recommend is to offer a military discount like Home Depot or Lowes. But even that will not change my mind.

John was beyond helpful. I left not just with what I needed but an education. I'm so grateful for locations like this that still have that humanity. The human connection that makes customer service feel like returning home. Asking for help can be very vulnerable but John took every opportunity to answer my MANY questions with patience, grace, understanding & humor. He didn't make me feel stupid for not knowing or understanding & didn't seem annoyed as is the case with many other establishments. This wasn't my first time in & the people are as helpful each & every time. Thanks John!

I entered the store with a list of assorted home projects that required materials to purchase. I was so lucky to have Kerri assisted me. She was patient, answered all my questions and advised me on choices available in the store to assist me with each project. She guided me through the store so that when I returned, I would know where to find what I needed. Kerri has exceptional customer service skills! She also helped me order on line supplies that were sold out. It is unusual to enter a store and find someone so knowledgeable to assist you! I look forward to shopping here again and will tell my family and friends about your outstanding service, Kerri! Thank you so much!

My son and I went there looking to match some screws. We were approached very quickly and asked if we needed any help. It felt a little like we were being profiled in the beginning, but eventually, we were aided in finding our screws and left promptly.

I spoke with a young man on the phone about a mole test kit, he stated they would have to order me one which was fine, when it came in I went to the store & picked it up, he put it in a bag without discussing anything with me. When I got home I removed it from the bag & was reading the instructions it said I would have to send it off to get tested & that it was a 40.00 charge to test it, I was totally shocked that he did not discussed that he did not tell me this, had I known I would not have bought it, guess that is why he didn't tell me to I had never bought one & being 84 years old didn't know anything about 1 of these, however I bought one from Lowes that can be tested at home, you might want to inform your employees to talk with your customers concerning things like this, especially women who know nothing about these kinds of things.

Came in there this morning , to power tool section wanted to by a Stihl chain saw , he asked what I was going to do with it ummm cut trees , told me he couldn’t sell it to me cause I wasn’t a professional cutting trees we spoke to mgr same issue , they have no clue what I do so I went right down the street bought same chain saw I was looking at here bought same chain saw at ace in Ashland before no problems but this ace in mechanicsville is ridiculous won’t be back here and don’t recommend anyone to shop at this location , buy the way was at home a hr later cutting my trees with my new saw that I bought right down the st from y’all , and was going to do more purchases here also , so you probably lost about $700 in purchases !!
