I was excited about a Lidl coming in, but the McLean store tends to have a bunch of non grocery things (like camping stoves or yoga mats) and oftentimes not the items you do need. Or the item is only available in a name brand and the price is just okay.We have had some produce issues so I never buy produce there. The hours are limited and the checkers are the slowest in the area.Ultimately, I was disappointed in this newer addition to McLean. I wish something else had gone in to the space instead.

Has some great fresh produce. Frozen items seem to have frost bite, or were allowed to thaw and then were refrozen. Fresh baked goods are pretty good. Prices are nice and there are many foods from Germany and Italy. I shop here regularly for special items and for a unique twist on regular meals.

Very good pricesBUT-be advised they do not carry all staples, I.e., raisins disappeared. They fruit tends to go bad within a day or two.......cheap, but not a great selection and not the greatest quality fruit. Easy and efficient check out....

I go here only as a last resort only because they have the absolute worst check out process. Always understaffed and only one maybe two registers open. Even with one item it sometimes takes more than five minutes to pay and leave especially if the cart in front is full. Somehow they don’t know about a thing called SELF CHECKOUT! Also, prices aren’t so much different compared to other grocery stores in the area.

Not enough shopping carts in a convenient location. Floors were dirty, produce wasn't in the best condition. Good bread selection though. Convenient parking.

Lidl is one of my all-time favorite grocers. But this one is lacking in quality, so much! The parking lot is very clunky. The employees are not helpful. And the reason I'm giving it one star, is mostly because of the bakery. The very first stop I make at any Lidl, is to the bakery. And I'm usually excited to grab bread, treats, etc. Every time I've gone into this one, no matter what time or what day. The bakery items are stale. And the last two times, fruit flies inside the plastic casing. But the worst part is that people in this area for some reason, allow their kids to grab things, with their bare hands, from inside the treats. Nobody says anything to them! And the kids will touch all of the items, simultaneously. This has happened every single time I've gone to this location. I'd steer clear of the bakery items! The cashiers aren't mean. But overall, I now only go to this location, whenever I'm in the area and absolutely have to.

This has been a surprising discovery, located in McLean, VA. The prices are so great (better than Wal-Mart's grocery pricing), it worth the drive from DC to McLean to shop. Staff is very nice as well!

Ovetall, it's an okay store. You have to try their baked goods. They ha e à great classic and artisan baguette. They also have fresh baked pretzels!!! The prices are not very impressive and the products change all the time.

Excellent bakery with good breads and pretzels fresh baked. Large store with pretty wide selection. However, not as inexpensive as Aldi, so I'll do most of my shopping there. But will go to Lidl for sales, especially salmon.

Hit or miss but sales are exceptional! I picked up avocados, strawberries and watermelon MUCH cheaper than other local grocery venues. Loved the watermelon and strawberries but the avocados were spoiled bf even ripening fully. They had tonic in stock but no club soda.

Store is fine for quality and price. Unfortunately, they never open more than two lines until the lines are six people deep. Clerks at registers turn customers to the longer lines. There is no such thing as a quick trip unless you hit the lotto when they open a new line.

Store was clean and shelves appeared to be fully stocked. Employees were helpful.I would visit again until the new store in Bethesda opens.

Lidl is great and it's good to have one closer, though eager to see the DC locations open soon. It's always a new adventure. Remember to use the app for discounts and rewards.
