Really appreciate the authenticity and quality of this salon. My cut and the products they recommended actually made a difference in how my hair looks (when styled on my own). I love my new style and how easy it is to maintain. This is the first time in years that I haven't spent at least half the week with a ponytail! Can't wait for my next appointment!

Lauren is awesome and her team is just as kind, when my fiancee and I go in for our appointments. My fiancee and I are both curly headed, who cannot trust just anyone to handle our hair care. That being said, it is why we both highly recommend the team here! Amazing experience - never had such a comprehensive assessment of my hair health and scalp health - got the scalp facial and single process color, also given recommendations for psoriasis for my scalp and my damaged hair - bought several of their surface products (the shampoo conditioner called awaken and their bassu oil and bassu leave in spray as well as awaken serum) all have helped my hair health and scalp health in the last 3/4 weeks I’ve been using them. Traveled from columbia MD to come here and will keep coming here even if it means I have to sit on 495 to get here!

Julie highlighted and cut my hair a few weeks ago. I can't say enough nice things about her and this salon. First off, I am happy that they use cleaner products than typical salons. Julie is so sweet and fabulous at her job. I absolutely love my hair color and cut!! I get tons of compliments! The ladies in this salon were very kind as well. Lindsey washed my hair and did an amazing job. Best hair massage I've ever had! Also the salon was very clean and kept everything safe during this pandemic. I will definitely be back!

I've been a client at Elements for over 7 years, but I'm writing this review tonight because I feel like a first-time customer again! From my very first consultation in 2013 (when I confessed how much I hate my fine, flat hair) until today, Lauren has always taken the time to understand where I am and to focus all her efforts on helping me walk out the door a more confident woman than I walked in. Today, after over 5 months away from Elements (thanks to COVID), I walked in with grey roots, hair that had been bleached to some shade of blonde by the sun and generic products, and straggly ends that needed to be cut. While keeping all necessary safety precautions in place, Lauren made me feel immediately better as she planned what subtle differences we could make in my color and how we'd be cutting off a couple of inches right away. By the time I walked out of the salon, there was a noticeable shift in my demeanor--even my husband (of more than a decade) declared he felt like he was out to dinner with a new woman! As I passed a mirror getting ready for bed, I couldn't help but acknowledge the truth: the magic Lauren worked with my hair has made me feel confident about my appearance in a way that I haven't in months. Professional always and very safety focused in light of COVID today, Elements has, once again, been a place that makes me a happier, better version of myself.

My long time hairdresser retired and I was so nervous about finding a new one. I took a chance and booked with Lauren based on the reviews. Lauren is fantastic! Her cuts are exactly what I asked for and her color (I have dark hair) is fabulous. It lasts a long time, too. I also use the products sold there and have been very pleased.

Warm and welcoming waiting area and staff. Amber is a sweet, friendly, and vibrant stylist who got the job done swiftly and perfectly; my semi-permanent root coverage was the perfect tone, the product used was organic, and the process was smooth and enjoyable. And...the head massage during the rinse/wash phase was by far the absolute best I've ever received by a stylist's assistant! Prices were reasonable. I look forward to my next visit.

Just moved to McLean and searching for a new salon? Try them! I tried a handful of local salons and am so grateful to have finally found Elements. They use organic, parabens-and sulfates-free (and much more) Surface products; are always friendly and flexible; and consistently make me look good (if my teens are any judge).

If you have dark hair, DO NOT get your hair colored here. They are not well trained or have enough experience to work with dark hair. I went there to get a subtle balayage; I was very excited with the cleaner products they offer. I ended up with brassy hair which looks terrible. The salon and their products are nice, which is the only reason I am giving two stars. Elements should train their stylist much better to not make these terrible mistakes.
