We received a new iPhone ordered direct from Apple, not activated for VZ as ordered. Made appointment at this Verizon store and was told they couldn't help us (only one SIM left in the store, no ability to activate eSIM). An unplanned trip to the Reston store yielded actual professional staff and they fixed the problem and got the new phone running with no drama.Edit 1: And of course standard VZ response of "sorry, we didn't get it done. We're always improving" yet, we always cringe when having to deal with VZ as it's not customer experience focused company when problems arise. Two store visits AFTER no help online or over the phone (seven layers of hell to get to a real person). You're always improving because the bar is so low to start with.

I had an interesting experience with Verizon starting with their online, things went sideways (no one's fault), trying to use chat(forget about it), finally talking on the phone to customer service, then finally being sent by customer service to the store. The customer service person caused more problems (without my knowing) for the store person to fix. Thankfully Zabi was extremely patient and persistent and able to get everything resolved. While I waited I heard a few interactions and I could see where that Verizon rep would be considered rude. Another customer had the same issue where customer service online or on the phone sent them to the store to fix something they easily could have done. So future reference when dealing with customer service online or on the phone make them do their jobs. Side note, while waiting for your new phone to download all your stuff don't be on a speakerphone call while others are trying to be helped.

The folks at this store are super friendly and very helpful. I didn't get the young lady's name but she was a manager and Zachary were both great at helping us through our questions. They answered all of our questions. My husband had loads old them and they answered them all. Five stars for excellent service.

Why list a local phone number, when it is not really a local number? Verizon customer service is absolutely the worst in the industry! I would like to talk with the local store but that is apparently not an option.....

Horrible customer service. A little teenage girl there who calls herself 'manager' got no clue what the customer service even means. Extremely rude and bossy. Very low technical proficiency and communication skills. They sold me a galaxy active 2 watch but could not make it to work, and on top of that very rudely asked asked me to leave and call customer service. When I insisted they either make it work or refund my money, the little 'manager' threatened to call police (which I would welcome at this point). Verizon is going down the hill. Their customer service wait time is about 2 hours. Most of their technical staff do not have technical skills to actually fix anything or even understand how their own equipment works. They employ a bunch of entitled millennial brats who don't understand basic 'customer service' concept. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. SEEK OTHER PROVIDERS!!!!

If I could give zero stars then I would. We went to this store roughly 2 months ago and we were unknowingly lied to several times. We needed to have a lot done and it could not be done over the phone so we had to go to the store. When we explained what we needed done, we were told it would be easiest to get new phone numbers for everyone and we would get a promotional rate for our child's new phone since we would open a new account. We were then told it would be easiest to do it online. So we left and attempted to do everything online. This was a complete disaster! I contacted a representative on the next business day for help which was two days later. The representative took care of the account setup and we did not have to get all brand new phone numbers, only for our child. The representative did not understand why the associates at the store said it would be best for all brand new phone numbers when all they had to do was click TWO buttons and the account would be setup and good to go and we would only need the one new phone number, not new numbers for all of us. The associates in the store also said to wait two billing cycles to see the phone discount and any other discounts we qualified for. Well what do you know? The phone discount for our child's phone NEVER shows. So I once again call a representative and have it looked into. SURPRISE! In order to qualify for the discount on the phone we needed to sign up for the unlimited data plan....We were NEVER told this, NEVER and it was NOWHERE to be found on our paperwork.While we were given a statement credit for our trouble, which was nice of the phone representative, this does not in any way make up for being lied to by the store associates and for the store associates cheating us out of hundreds of dollars.Completely unacceptable and we will NEVER go to this store again.

Typical verizon customer service. Once they figure out you arent buying a device, they tell you its going to “be a long wait” and then follow through on it hoping you’ll go somewhere else.

Impossible to reach anyone in store with a question about phone availability, and when I went there today without an appointment, the girl let me stand in the rain outside while tersely answering my question at the door. Another employee was literally laying down on the bench inside, looked like he was taking a nap.

I know we are several months into Covid - but Verizon and Antquan, the manager at this store - are being ridiculous. I've had such horrible customer service from Verizon over the past several months, but Antquan was so rude. We've been trying to buy a phone for my teenage son for school for the past 6 weeks, as he lost his, and we had to deactivate it. I knew we would need help re-activating it after purchasing a new phone and thus needed personal help. It's been hard to reach anyone at a store, even by phone. Because school is fast approaching, we decided just to go to this Verizon store in person. There's a sign outside saying we had to wait outside until someone came to us. Antquan came out and in a stern and imperious tone lectured us that Verizon is practicing social distancing and that they can't touch anything. That we'd have to make an appointment. I told him we came because we have tried calling....he said they don't answer the phone. I told him that we needed to buy a phone. All he did was repeat Verizon's COVID policy of social distancing and not touching anything. How can they even do their jobs if they can't touch anything? Why should they even be employed at this point? Instead of offering solutions and being helpful, Antquan - THE MANAGER - was rude and dismissive basically copping out and blaming it on COVID policy. He didn't make any suggestions about how or where to buy a phone and get it activated. He was a complete j**** So, we went to Best Buy - what a difference! You can go into the store. You can look at phones. The customer service people actually help you. We ended up buying a phone and Alexis with Best Buy got it operational for us....and we are extremely thankful that he did because there were several issues. So, why can Best Buy be able to sell phones and provide customer service and Verizon can not? My advice to Verizon would be to close ALL your stores and just let Best Buy sell the phones. Cut real estate costs and personnel. I haven't had a Verizon customer service person help me with anything in a LONG time. Now we are looking at switching our service from Verizon.
