The Branch bowling alley is clean and the shoes have been updated with Velcro closures, rather than laces (very disability-friendly). The lanes have automated scoring and feature “YouToons,” a way to record players’ faces and turn them into funny, short videos. The guacamole and red, white, and blue chips were delicious, and the French fries were on point: hot and crispy. However, the food service was extremely slow.
Apparently, they also have themed events, like comedy night.

This place needs acoustic noise reduction foam on the walls/ceiling.
It's just too damn loud in here.
There is almost no point going here with a group of friends because you can't have a conversation.
Bowlero and other places have done this and the noise is bearable. It's unbearable at The Branch.

We’ve now been to The Branch twice this summer thanks to their participation in the “Kids Bowl Free” program. We would have come eventually anyway, but this just hastened the visit.
I am giving the 4 stars based mostly on the first visit. Because the second visit was not so great. I’m sure it was just a glitch in overall operations, but still some things to be aware of.
We got a lane for our family of four right away when we arrived around 11:00 on a Tuesday. The ambience is great. I like the little added touch of having all the Loudoun County towns across the top of the lanes. It’s nice to have an affordable place to bring the family bowling in the area. The score keeping system is cute and engaging and keeps kids entertained. The alley itself is a little cramped… there is very little space on each lane to actually move/walk past someone. So if you have a party of six (which is the most the will put on a lane) prepare to be VERY cramped. But I get it… they need to maximize on space.
The food is decent. We haven’t tried just the restaurant but we have ordered food to eat while bowling. Pretty standard. Nothing spectacular but also decent food for a bowling alley.
I would definitely recommend this place but maybe at a time when it isn’t super busy? Which brings me to our second visit.
I guess they were having issues with their cooling system because it was a SAUNA in there. Made all the worse by a lot of people. At 3:00 on a Friday we were told we’d have to sit about 20 minutes for a lane. No big deal. They were busy, I get it. But when there is a wait they need to make sure they are actively policing the lanes. We watched a family of four camped out across TWO lanes… only one of which had they actually been bowling on… sit at their lane for a full 30 minutes after they were done bowling. They even had food delivered there and sat and ate it. If they are going to charge by the game, then people should not be allowed to take up the space after they are done bowling. Nothing was one until my husband went up and asked about it.
Also, they do offer leagues here. Based on the condition of the approach on th I would be angry. It was filthy. Which makes sliding impossible. The first time I tried (taking for granted that I would be able to) I almost face planted on the lane. Maybe it was because of the crazy temps inside the building. But that’s not great. Hopefully they clean up before leagues.
So, overall we’ll come back. But if it looks (or feels) like it did on our second visit, I will turn around and walk right back out the door. We probably would have on that day as well, but because we had the kids bowl free coupons, we weren’t paying for our games.

Good food and good time. Came here for a birthday party(son's friend)and ordered off the menu. My shrimp wrap and fries were excellent. The party food for the boys looked tasty (pizza, fries, chicken fingers). Will definitely come back. Forget who the host was for the party, but he was great. Attentive and helped wherever and whenever he could.

It was my first time there and it was a fun experience. The music, the food and the prices were not bad. There was this one worker, I believed her name was Liv and she was a total delight!! Definitely one of the BIG REASONS why I wanna come back. My friends and I are going back next week

Who knew this was here? Did you know that there is a very nice restaurant attached to this bowling alley? With outside seating? The food is pretty good and reasonably priced.. and the service is very good. If I were to give a negative is that even though the restaurant/bar is in a different section apart from the bowling alley, the noise from the bowling alley can sometimes make it difficult to have a conversation.

We just drove 35 min. to come here to bowl and arrived here little after 11 a.m. on Saturday.. (they open at 11 a.m.) We wanted to make sure we get here early since this place gets packed! Well, apparently, someone rented out the entire bowling area today and they're not open to general public until 3 p.m. I wish they post this type of information on their website so people don't waste time! When I suggested to the front desk ppl today, they said website can't be updated..

Ill give this place a 5 star review if you are looking to hang out and eat some good food and beer. They have great specials and great happy hour options.
If you are a bowler looking to strictly get practice in. Lanes are usually toasty even on a Monday at 5pm open or their oil is alot lighter than other alleys. I'm usually looking for fresh oil practice and i find myself having to play further inside at this alley because there is so much hook.
I really do love the Branch, I enjoy coming here for their food, bringing kids to bowl and also one of the best features is being able to set who needs the bumpers on the lanes.
