HORRIBLE STORE! Not only do they have dead fish in their tanks and ignore it once being told, but the staff is down right rude. I always take my dog here for grooming, food and toys, but after having a horrendous experience of being ignored, called a liar and dismissed I am done. The male manger could honestly care less and the ladies in grooming just do not seem to care. We had an appointment at 9am while the store was closed knocked on the window called multiple times and after 10 mins left because we have other things to do. Call back at 10am to be called liars. Rude customer service and should probably be more attentive and review call logs and cameras before accusing customers. Manager could care less and blatantly blew it all off when told. I am very disappointed and never bringing my dogs back here.

I tried to give them a second chance, but the customer service here is awful. The cashier was sitting playing on her phone. Did not say hello. Just asked for my PALS card. Clearly annoyed because I wanted to buy something in the store and was taking her away from her phone. I was here to use the $10 Petco gave me for my last bad experience. I'm done. If Petco meant to show me that they don't want my business, congratulations. They were successful. I will not be back.

I've been buying from the Petco Leesburg location for the past eight years. I was there this weekend, and like always, received outstanding customer service! The staff is knowledgeable about products and pet care. I will continue supporting this store!

Probably the least helpful pet store you'll visit. I bought a fish tank and a goldfish for my daughter for her birthday here. It's been two years, the fish died, our house sitter over fed it, I go to buy another one. I'm asked 4-5 questions about what I'm doing with the fish by the teenager cleaning the cages, he then proceeds to tell me I cannot buy a goldfish. "What? Well the size of your tank is not big enough. But I bought it here, you sold it to me with a goldfish, same time. I'm sorry we can't sell you a goldfish. Where is the manager? She's on vacation." The place is a dump, dead fish floating in 30% of the tanks already. Proceed to PETSMART 3 mins away and buy said goldfish, no interrogation. Can I have the last 15 minutes of my life back PETCO? Joke.

Pretty dirty, but the building's old and they have pets everywhere. I love pets, especially dogs and ferrets. I'll often come here to look at the ferrets :)

I really like the people who work at Petco - they seem knowledgeable, and like management has made an effort to hire people who really care about animals. Prices are absolutely comparable to Amazon (online).

Will never be returning. Has nothing to do with the employees, but the store seems dark, is overcrowded with random displays, and has poor selection. Impossible to navigate with a cart much less a furry friend. The whole place has a very weird vibe. It’s a dusty ghost town.

Would be five stars, however, the heat lamp that was recommended to me by one of the staff ended up not being compatible after I'd driven home. Not a big deal, but more of an inconvenience to drive back and replace it myself.

This Petco is very conveniently located (right beside Hobby Lobby ??), with ample parking. Typical pet supply store chain - having a little bit of everything for your pet's needs. I was there recently looking for an item for one of my fur babies. Be aware, that currently, they will not take back any returns due to CoVid. I was informed by a staff member there that if you are buying a bed or article of clothing etc and it doesn't fit or you decide it isn't working for you, it can't be returned. The staff member was unable to provide information as to when that policy would change and was also unsure if the item would ever be returnable once this policy/ practice was lifted (even with receipt and tags in place ?). I completely understand the restrictions during the pandemic and that being said my advice is to 1) bring your fur baby in to the store to try on clothing, pet bed etc before purchasing, 2) measure your fur baby accurately, 4) love the item no matter what, 5) be prepared that you may have to eat the cost of said purchased item by the time this policy is changed back to "returns accepted" again.

Brian at this Petco is an absolute gem! When we walked in he greeted us and then made sure it was okay before greeting our pups. we shopped for a while and when we went to checkout he once again greeted our animals by name after making sure it would be okay (which I really appreciated rather than just immediately giving them attention)
