Very disappointing when I contacted the Sales Manager in writing asking about a specific car he did not take the time to get back to me so I purchased elsewhere after asking twice. Also it appears that they may be out of business now in this location as all the cars out front have been removed but one or two.

I bought my last car at Hertz car sales in Honolulu and when I was looking to trade it in I looked at Hertz cars in the DC area where I now live. I found I car I wanted and made an appointment letting them know I planned to trade in my car and that I was pre-approved for a loan. I also filled out the financing estimate on their website before the appointment. When I arrived I was told the person I had my appointment with was “filling the car up with gas”. After standing in the entry way for 40 minutes I asked if anyone would help me. A sales guy (who was not wearing a mask, a several other staff members were also not wearing masks or had theirs pulled down their faces) that I could look at the car. I was given the keys and noticed that the bumper was busted. I informed the sales guy who shrugged and said that if I didn’t want a car with a busted bumper that they would sell it to someone else. He said they had another car of the same model and so test drive that one. I liked it and wanted to buy it. The sales guy said he was going to process paperwork for another customer and then go home and I could come back on Monday. I said that I had driven an hour and a half to get there and could not come back again until the next weekend and asked if they would hold it for me until then and they said no. I eventually asked to talk to the manager who worked with staff to process the paperwork. While they were doing the paperwork, the other (male) customer getting his paperwork done asked if they could make a cosmetic repair to the wheel of the car he was purchasing and they said of course, you can bring it back next week for the repair. I live in another state and when I got the inspection done in that state the mechanic said the back tires were ragged and the tires needed to be realigned and that the plastic engine cover inside the hood was missing. He recommended I contact Hertz and ask them to make the repairs or offer me compensation. I did this and was told they do not repair or replace parts of cars after they pass inspection and my only option would be to return the car. I guess repairs are only an option for male customers? Definitely a horrible customer service experience - I would steer clear!UPDATE: They put the wrong VIN number on the paperwork and had to fedex me the new paperwork to sign. My “new” temporary tag expired yesterday and I have not gotten the tags in the mail yet and do not know if they even filed the paperwork with the DMV. I was pulled over and told my tags were expired. Called the manager who said “it’s a Sunday night and I don’t have access to that information”. Did they actually file my paperwork with the DMV and will they reimburse me for tickets for my expired temporary tags?

If I could give a zero I would. Worst experience ever no one was around to help we stood around waiting to pick up a car and no one would help us. Once they got around to us (it was just us) the car had a flat tire and a was in super bad shape. It was the only car they had apparently.... annoying also the car was unwashed and nasty. Most insane at to do business. Also people who are working are not fallowing the rule they have of wear a mask.

Review update: I was called about my issues (see previous review) I thought because someone was going to help me but was told they put the wrong VIN number on the paperwork and would fedex me the new one. The manager also implied that issues with the tires might have been caused by me running over a pothole (after having the car for one day??) and that the mechanic who did my MD state inspection was probably just trying to get money for repairs (he was not, he told me Hertz should do the repairs for free and was not trying to get me To pay him for the repairs). Fast forward a month and I never got my tags and got pulled over today for driving with expired tags. I called Hertz and the guy said in a condescending tone with a laugh "it's Sunday night" I can look into it tomorrow...

No haggle price on the National Hertz online website in amount $31,100 for a 2019 Mustang in the Rent to Buy Program did not include a $549 processing fee. The fee was only disclosed on a sign when I arrived to the Hertz location in Leesburg VA which is one hour away from my home. While they acknowledged this mistake with the National Website they were not willing to waive or lower the price of the car. Be careful with these guys. Despite the excessive hold times on the call in line, call ahead and ask questions. Do ask for the telephone number of the local rental car location. Speak to them too as the corporate call in center does not disclose this information.

I rented a car via Priceline and prepaid for a rental. I wanted to pick up a few hrs prior to my original pick up time and was told by customer service that that was not allowed. So I came at pick up time and then was told I could not use my debit card for the deposit of $200. They told me I had to use the same CC I used to prepay. As that was not an option, the lady at the rental place was not helpful in trying to rectify the situation and just said she couldn’t help. Therefore I was not only allowed to pick a prepaid rental several hrs earlier as my pick up time was at closing, I couldn’t even pick up the car I rented. Worst customer service as it is out sourced as well and I could not understand the person. Very disappointed in the companies lack of care.

Convenient location for those of us living in Western Loudoun County. However, they aren't open late and their car selection can be limited.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, NOT AN HONEST DEALER. I bought a 2013 VW cc from here, and from the beginning I could tell there was going to be issues. We got there at 5 o 'clock and didn't leave until 9. The financial person and manager were in the back smoking for nearly 2 hours before we even saw them helping other people. ADDITTIONALLY, they're was another person waiting after we had left. Not only that, but the tires were significantly worn. Two of the tires had plugs in them, those should have been replaced by the dealership but I didn't find out till after the fact. So to sum up, great prices, shady people and bad service.

Went with my folks to pick out a car for them to buy. More than six hours later, we are still waiting to leave with the car. Eddie the sales guy, who told us two hours ago that we would be leaving in 45 minutes is nice but everyone else is rude and short and it’s colder inside the building than it is outside on a blustery day in late October. Go anywhere else.

You will wait minimum 30 minutes. If you book your reservation in advance they will not have cars ready. Additionally you will have an issue with every rental. Last time they did not our plates on the car.

Nightmare experience. BAIT AND SWITCH LENDING. EXTREMELY HIGH PRESSURE. DON'T BUY FROM THESE GUYS. We arrived just to look at cars and "Eddie" (we have since named him 'Fast Eddie') immediately put the pressure on, claiming that their cars went quickly and we needed to buy the car that day. We explained that we were getting a loan from our credit union and that we needed to wait until we got the bank draft. Don't do that--he says. You won't get the car. Get a loan through us. We work with all the major lenders. We'll match any interest rate your credit union offers. Since the car was a newer model Toyota priced at lower than KBB value, we thought ok, there is a chance this car could get sold quickly, so we'll move forward and get the car. (Of course this car is still available--on the lot--for sale--several weeks later...but I digress.) We also had a trade in, so we raced home (20 miles back to our house), got the trade in, drove it to their lot and began the process. They ran our credit and said 'Wow, your credit is incredible!' (It is.) 'You'll definitely get a low interest loan,' Fast Eddie tells us. Then the pressure began to sign the papers instantly. Since there were two co-borrowers on the loan, I explained that my spouse (who wasn't with me, since we had just come to 'look at cars' not buy) had business meetings all day the next day and couldn't come in to sign the papers until Saturday. 'No. Don't do that.' they said. 'It is too busy on Saturday. You need to come in tomorrow.' So, I had to beg my spouse to reschedule his morning to sign the papers. We arrive promptly when the office opens, only to find out at (a) Hertz DOES NOT match your existing loan interest rate; and (b) in spite of our excellent credit (seriously excellent credit), they could only find us one bank to work with, because apparently the loan amount was too small. They didn't call us to tell us that we were getting a higher interest rate than our credit union offered, nor did they call to tell us they could only get a loan from one bank. But, again 'Fast Eddie' insisted on rushing everyone through and making promises that he either knew nothing about or couldn't keep. Then, the finance manager says 'We need your car insurance'. We explained that we gave the car insurance to 'Fast Eddie' the night before. 'No,' she says. 'You need to have the new car -- the one you're buying from us -- insured before you drive it off the lot.' (Apparently Hertz isn't intelligent enough to understand that most major car insurance companies cover new cars for up to 30 days on an existing policy.) At that point, we said "deal over" and walked out. We'd jumped through hoops several times already for 'Fast Eddie' and *HE DID NOTHING FOR US* except give us incredibly bad information and put a lot of pressure on. If you can't tell truth about your lenders and 'matching' interest rates, if you can't get a loan from more than one lender, and if you can't clearly articulate requirements, then you don't belong in business. And, who the heck wants to buy a car from a used car dealer named 'Fast Eddie' anyway.

No hassle no haggle! No cheating! And go home with an excellent bargain! What else can you expect from a 100 YO multi national conglomerate? Only the best!
