“We’ve been to GarthNewel many times, usually over Thanksgiving and Memorial weekend. It’s a five hour drive each way, but well worth the time and effort. The music is exceptionally fine. From the resident quartet to the guest artists, everyone is very talented, professionals and approachable. We’ve made many friends over the years, all folks who appreciate chamber music. As if that weren’t enough, being warmly welcomed by the director, staff and board members makes us feel at home in this lovely mountain retreat. And to top it off, the executive chef and his team prepare world class dinners after many of the concerts. The meals are creative and delicious. Dining gives us a chance to enjoy excellent dinners, and get to meet and know other guests and musicians. Garth Newel is our favorite home away from home.”
