Worst Experience Ever! Stay Away!
We traveled from Boston to Destin, FL, then from Destin to our son’s graduation at Fort Jackson, SC, and finally to Virginia at Fort Gregg-Adams. We booked a hotel stay in Virginia based on specific needs. I called ahead to confirm that the pool was operational and that we could get interconnected rooms so we could keep an eye on our kids. The 1-800 number assured us everything we requested was available, and when I called the hotel directly, they confirmed the same.
When we arrived, it was a disaster. Before even checking in, I asked if the pool was open. The front desk told me it had been closed for over two months! I was shocked, as no one had informed me, and I had already canceled our backup hotel. I figured we’d just make do since it was late, but things got worse. Our rooms were not connected as promised, and when I opened the door to the room where our kids were supposed to sleep, there was an overwhelming smell of weed. It was so strong that I was immediately concerned about the health and safety of my children. This was especially distressing to me because my mother passed away from lung cancer, and any strong smell, especially of smoke, is completely unacceptable. The second room was clean and odor-free, but the front desk’s response to my complaint was dismissive—they insisted there were no interconnected rooms available.
I asked what I should do about my kids and requested a different room due to the smell. The front desk staff didn’t care at all and were unprofessional. When I asked to speak to the manager, they said there was only a 50/50 chance she’d answer the phone. We felt like we were being treated as if we were trying to scam a free room rather than paying guests who deserved decent service.
The next morning, I spoke with the manager, who was equally clueless. She claimed that what I was saying wasn’t true until I showed her my reservation on the IHG website, which clearly showed the pool was listed as available along with photos. Even then, there was no effort to address the issues or make things right.
I'm incredibly disappointed and have never had this kind of experience with Bonvoy hotels. IHG needs to step up and learn how to treat their guests properly.
Noteworthy details: Pool is not open.

Very close to the army base- about 7 minutes which was very convenient. Rooms were really nice and modern. Very clean rooms. Staff were friendly. Beds were comfortable.
Con: pool closed due to lack of maintenance!which was disappointing for the child that was in the trio with us.
Overall great hotel would recommend!!
Rooms: Stayed in the double queen room. Lived the big mirror in the bathroom. The Janis throughout the room were a nice touch. Room was modern.

Our overnight stay was perfect. Easy off I-95, clean, comfortable, and free breakfast (which was VERY good). Kali checked us in and was AMAZING! Very friendly and helpful. Overall was exactly what we needed. Definitely recommended.

Huge Showers. Loud bathroom fans to not hear neighbors is a plus.
At 0615 Delicious Hot breakfast(eggs,sausage, pancakes)

In my case I can’t give a review of a general stay, but I can start one with 2 things that are not looking well in only one night that I’ve been in this hotel, one is the lady that set ups the breakfast is not nice or welcoming at all, I believe anyone would like to start a morning and breakfast with something positive and she is probably not providing the best. Another and most important as an right now is the pool, continues to be un operational when they are still advertising it on their website like one of the best things obviously on this season, and from another review they said they were going to change it on their website, it is very clear that they are lying to the customers.
I had reserved another hotel which they mentioned that their pool was under construction and due to the fact that I will be here 32 days I wanted to at least have a good option in where to release some stress or simply enjoy it while I’m off on the weekends, and I canceled that reservation and proceeded to reserve in this hotel where at the end they are lying. So, since is clear that have no good intentions I would not recommend you to lodge here. I hope this is the only I can encounter on the duration of my stay.

Hotel right off the highway. Not the greatest neighborhood but hotel was updated, very clean. Loved the low-lights in the room! Pool is not working which is deceiving on website and was very disappointing. Beds were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was amazing! Got there earlier then originally scheduled and hotel Manager Shanna, was very helpful! Obviously hotel is under great management with her due to staff was very receptive to her guidance and the atmosphere was very pleasant!

We came to the area for my very sick husband to visit his mother in a nearby nursing home. We drove 5 1/2 hours with him sometimes laying on a mattress in the back of the car while I drove. When i checked in I had accidentally put the wrong date so I asked if there was a spare room. I then asked the clerk if she could cancel the date I had made in error. She gave me the impression that she would. I did not ask for a name or any other verification for her. My hands was full settling in my husband. I assumed that the matter was taken care of. When getting my credit card statement there was a charge. I contacted the credit card company and asked for that charge to be taken off. I even said that I would take a credit for our next visit. Today I got a letter from my credit card company saying that Hopewell Fort Lee Inn would not credit me. Be sure to cross your t's and dot your i's. Needless to say our next stay will not be Hopewell Fort Lee inn.

Hotel seemed recently updated, however, website photos include several pictures of a pool that is not operational. It was hard to tell via the website it would be closed. I would recommend the property remove these photos. One other perk, WaWa is in walking distance.

Rooms were VERY nice and VERY clean. Nice and quiet ?. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Convenient location. Highly recommend!!!
