Had a wonderful experience at Ashby Animal Clinic for the past few years. Only stopped seeing them since I moved away from the area. I had an older dog with some complications, and saw a variety of their vets and staff, including Dr. Bell. All the vets listened to my concerns, supported my dog, and provided me with options. We had top quality care and I am very appreciative!

The place is horrible and has no compassion for the customers or the animals. The lady at the front desk named Ashley is rude and if they allow someone like that to work for them, I can only imagine what type of people they have handling my pet. Would not recommend using them at all!!

Had a wonderful experience here. My pup had a very swollen paw and they were able to see him the same day and treat the swelling. He is a reactive dog, but they listened to my concerns and made sure to take precautions. Pup is healing well!

Had our Great Dane tacked and spayed at Ashby. Everything went well and a year later she’s still doing great.

Dr. May saw my chocolate lab, Lettie, very last minute while we were visiting the area. Lettie had an ear infection and hot spot, which Dr. May spotted immediately because she asked for prior vet records and read them thoroughly before seeing Lettie. Everyone at the vet practice from beginning to end was friendly and caring. Don’t hesitate to see anyone at Ashby! Especially Dr. May, she is brilliant and kind.

If you suspect feline ear polyp - I recommend visiting another vet.
Friendly staff, however, had a very poor experience with the office manager.

Every time I have had an appointment I have waited at least 30-45 minutes I don’t know why you even make an appointment. The last time took the cake had an appointment at 930 just for an x-ray. Got there no one was waiting 4 people came in after me and they took them. I waited 45 minutes and that was it. I would not recommend them unless you have all day to wait.

My husband and I are pet parents & have trusted Ashby Animal Clinic with our babies for many years. This week we had the privilege of meeting Dr Bolt when our 15 year old baby kitty became sick. Dr. Bolt was very compassionate & loving with our girl & explained everything in great detail. We had to make the very difficult decision to let our baby go and Dr. Bolt was nothing short of wonderful. She affirmed that we were making the right decision & was so gentle, sweet & sympathetic to her & us. Thank you Dr. Bolt for making a horrible day a little less stressful. Will & Rebecca Shifflett.

Ashby Animal Clinic is hands down the best in the Shenandoah Valley! They treat my pets (2 dogs and cat) and my police K-9 with such care and diligence… they take the time to explain EVERYTHING and don’t keep anything a secret. Thank you Dr. Bell and Mrs. Cox for your incredible care and compassion with my animals, you’re the BEST!

I have been with Ashby Animal Clinic for many, many years and all of my rescue animals have been given great care. I would highly recommend Ashby Animal Clinic as they have a great staff, great doctors who will go the extra mile to help your pet and a great clinic.......try it, you'll like it..........
