Do not! Do not! Do not spend your money with Greyhound. They're wildy unprofessional, they're disorganized, none of the employees know anything about anything, and you'll have to deal with endless delay after delay after delay. The building is NOT 24/7, despite what their own website claims. It's a miracle if your bus shows up on time.... or even at all.Greyhound does NOT give refunds. Even if your bus never shows up, they won't give you your money back. This is very very very common to see. Greyhound is on the verge of bankruptcy and they no longer care about customer service or giving people what they paid for.I had to force a charge back through my bank and file fraud charges against Greyhound.

To be honest. I haven’t rode on public transportation in over thirty years. What a humbling moment.

*Bus leaves from West Pembroke Ave and Franklin Street down the street and not the station. No one was in the Greyhound station. Bathrooms locked. Very unsafe*My mom came to Virginia and decided to take the bus back home like she normally does. The Norfolk, VA greyhound bus station had closed, so she decided to leave from Hampton, VA. We got to the Hampton, VA location and the parking lot was blocked off for construction. We parked in the next-door parking lot and walked over to the station. The door was open, and lights were on, so we to walked in. We walked in and there was absolutely no one in the station. There was a sign on the door that said this was a self-service location and to use the website for tracking info. There was a sign on the bathroom doors that said the bathrooms were locked. Since we did not feel comfortable waiting alone in an empty building, we waited in the car. We waited and realized that no buses were even parking near the station. Once it was time for the bus, we noticed from the app that the bus had stopped at a nearby street. We drove a few blocks down because we saw a local bus stop on a side street and low and behold, the greyhound bus was parked on the street (West Pembroke Ave and Franklin Street). I had to get out the car at almost 11pm at night and run to the bus and knock on the bus door to verify that it was indeed the correct bus. Very unsafe with no lighting in the dark for a female. The bus driver then said that that station had been closed for months due to construction and that they haven't been telling people that the buses does not park at the station anymore. There was no sign on the door or anything.#1. It's unsafe that the station is even open with no one in there. Anyone could have been in there when we walked in. Anyone. If someone were to have an uber drop them off, they would be stranded because there is nothing near that station and no indication that the bus parks down the street. And don’t worry about using the restroom because the bathrooms are locked. We felt unsafe and this needs to be address with Greyhound and the City of Hampton, VA. My mom used the Greyhound bus for her trips to VA for over 10 years and this is the first time that we’ve had this horrible experience. I’m contacting you all and the City of Hampton, VA as well.

Its horrible greyhound could do better I'm sitting at the bus station in Hampton Virginia and the bus didn't come to the bus station it was on a side road they should be letting travelers know they're bus locations because if I hadn't left the station I would've been left by the bus and wasted money I could not get bk because they don't refund let alone they have a whole website and fail to mention that this location is under construction and we have a different location it's that simple come on greyhound u can do better than this because travelers could miss the bus because of u guys failing to tell them where to go never again I didn't even want to give u a star because this is horrible waiting for the bus outside in neighborhoods u don't even know is extremely dangerous DO BETTER!!! or give ppl they're money bk if we have to go through this non sense

These are amended remarks. It seems like the traveling public will have an extended wait time until the Hampton Transit Center is developed into a world-class travel facility. According to the service alerts which are on the gohrt.com website, reconstruction which began on HTC in May is not scheduled to be completed until further notice. As an aside to this, I would advise carrying baby wipes as the toilet tissue in the transit center's restrooms is abhorrent. It's not really fit for human use. I can conclude these observations with a couple of up shots. The transit center will remain open during construction ( predominantly during daylight hours ). The powers that be in facilities engineering evidently decided that it was past time for the air conditioning to be fixed. So, waiting will not be as arduous during the very torrid summer months in Hampton Roads.

Temporary closure due date construction. Catch bus across the street. There's no shade and it's hot outside.

Short of a near death experience I will not be using Greyhound, this location is no longer an actual location. It's just a drop off pick up. Greyhound was always my go to for travel, no longer. You really dropped the ball Greyhound.

This is not a bad Greyhound facility either. Most Greyhound buses now and days have actual wall plugs that you can plug in your devices like a laptop or a cell phone just bring your charger with a plug-in and you're good to go. He just want to exercise caution when leaving stuff on the bus even though they say it's safe to do so. For example if you're using a laptop and you don't want it stolen you might want to take it with you when you get off the bus when they ask you to leave. Just to be sure that you do not lose any of your valuable items.
