This pharmacy was good when it was open, but it is now closed.

Don't try to get medications filled here. They use temporary staff members they refer to as "floaters." These floaters have no real desire to help you and are totally unsupervised. One of them was supposed to order medication for me so I wouldn't run out. He didn't. The next day the pharmacy manager told me she didn't have any control over the floaters so I was just out of luck (and medication) and she would try to get my medication ordered but couldn't promise anything.

I went to the pharmacy to buy Claritin-D. The pharmacist asked me if I wanted 12-hour or 24-hour. I started to think for a second and she said "it's not a difficult decision." She didn't explain the difference between the two products or offer any kind of help. She was also talking on her personal phone through ear pieces. I've been to this pharmacy before a few months prior and remember this same pharmacist talking on the phone through her ear pieces, which I thought was bizarre for a pharmacist to be doing. This pharmacist is very unprofessional. I would never trust this pharmacist to fulfill any type of prescription for me or anyone I cared about.

Today I went to the CVS pharmacy located in Target at 500 S Washington St, Falls Church, VA. I had called earlier to refill a prescription, during which the pharmacist argued with me about the name of my medication (my prescription says generic is fine) and the location of the pharmacy (I recently moved to the area and was a new customer at this location). After finally agreeing to fill the prescription, the pharmacist hung up on me without giving me an estimated time. I arrived about 45 min later, and the prescription had not been filled. The pharmacist filled it out of sight behind the counter as I waited in line. After arriving home, I realized that there was chewed up bubble gum and trash in my prescription bag. The gum had stuck to the box of my medication, and there were multiple used wrappers. I made attempts to contact CVS through their website, but their email function is not working. I am not a fan of airing dirty laundry without giving someone a chance to resolve it, but this person received the personal information of a clearly Asian American person and chose to spit gum in their medication. Given the current pandemic situation and the dangerous anti-Asian sentiment, this contamination of medication by a medical professional seems an especially disgusting act.

This isn't a full CVS location, just a CVS pharmacy counter inside of the mini-Target. This is the BEST pharmacy I've ever been to anywhere. The staff is ALWAYS very friendly and helpful, I have no idea how they remember your name after only a couple of visits but they do it. They even once thought there was a coupon online for a medicine (I had no idea about it) and they spent a few minutes looking for it online and saved me $20 a month. They also aren't nearly as crowded as the Broad Street location so there isn't a long wait in line to pick up your precsciption and they get it filled quickly if you need to drop it off. This is about as good as it gets for a CVS pharmacy.
