Beware New Drivers: Safety and Professionalism Concerns at Boasso(Greensville Transport)Chesapeake, VAAs a new driver, I was excited to begin my journey with Boasso, a national company with multiple locations. However, my experience at the Chesapeake, VA branch left me feeling dismayed and concerned for the safety of myself and others on the road. I would like to share my experience in hopes that other new drivers can make an informed decision when considering Boasso as their potential employer.My biggest concern was the lack of safety protocol and the unprofessionalism displayed by my assigned trainer, Carol Joe Simmers. Despite my clean driving record (+5 points with no accidents, tickets, or incidents), I received a negative review from him, even though he demonstrated dangerous and irresponsible behavior himself.While training, Mr. Simmers engaged in careless driving, including slamming on the brakes to stop the truck due to his own lack of attention. More alarmingly, when a tire blew out during one of his training sessions, he chose to continue driving against safety regulations, putting not only us but also other drivers on the road at risk.On top of these safety concerns, Mr. Simmers exhibited unprofessional behavior by gossiping about the terminal manager during training sessions. It's disheartening to see a trainer holding trainees to higher standards than they themselves adhere to.Lastly, I would like to mention the issue of unpaid wages. After leaving the company, Boasso failed to pay me for my final week of work as of the drafting of this review. This is unacceptable, especially given the unsafe and unprofessional environment I experienced during my time there.In conclusion, my experience at Boasso's Chesapeake, VA location left me deeply disappointed and concerned for the safety of new drivers who may be subjected to the same training conditions. I urge potential new drivers to take this review into consideration when making their employment decisions and to be cautious of the training and work environment at this particular branch.

Great shipper. Efficient once they get going. Get there early if you don't want to sit behind their own trucks though.
