“They are the only people who have ever been able to trim all of my anxious dog’s nails! Our dog is a very smart, *very* anxious hound, and he usually gets so hysterical about his nails that our last two vets just started sending him home halfway done (and charged us full price of course). …We were getting desperate and these guys had some reviews about being successful with anxious dogs, so we figured we might as well try them out. So glad we did!!! This groomer used a dremmel for his nails, which he tolerates better than clippers, and his nails are the shortest they’ve ever been! The guy that worked with him (didn’t get his name) waited for him to calm down and went ahead and did it, and it was not only a great job, it was way quicker than we expected! At this point we would’ve paid any price, but theirs was also super reasonable! We will definitely be returning! ?”
“We are THRILLED with Natural Pet Essentials. The other pet store we have been dealing with is under new management and they let us down at the last moment by ordering the wrong food for our cat, Mimi, when we were down to our last 3 cans. However, NPS saved us! Emily and Lydia were both lovely to work with and they had just what we needed - Lotus Just Juicy Chicken Stew - and gave us a case discount, which we appreciated. They also have some great freeze-dried chicken cat treats I know Mimi will love and they hope to have the Bravo cat treats when they are available again in mid-September.We were so happy to learn that Kim still owns NPS because we worked with her for so long and trust her to be there for us when we need her.All in all, such a happy coincidence that landed us right where we belong! After putting up hundreds of flyers, we got a call from Carrie who put together a person who was buying a leash for a dog they found, with us, the desperately searching, heartbroken dog owners. Although a reward was offered, Carrie refused it. While we were in her store, we noticed how welcoming and well-stocked it was, and what great items she carries. It is a great place to find whatever you need for your furbabies. Thanks' to Carrie, we were able to enjoy the holidays with Teddy, instead of anguishing over what might have happened to him. “They could not been nicer my smallest yorkie is difficult to groom - he snapped at them but they gently persistent and got it done. My other 3 are easyThey looked nice after they were done . The nails are a great length and smooth- they had gotten really long. I wish they had scented shampoo so they smell clean longer.”
“The day before Thanksgiving in the evening we were so impressed with the young lady that was feeding the critters. Specifically she was feeding the lizards, scorpion... And so was spraying down the reptile tanks. She not only allowed my daughter, husband and myself to watch but she explained everything she was doing and my daughter got some valuable information. She was also at the register when it was time to leave and she was so very nice, helpful and professional! I've always had positive experiences when I go into this PetSmart that's near Merchant Rd. at the new 5th street station in Charlottesville VA but this young lady went way above and beyond for me and my family.”
“We adopted a very sweet pit bull from here last night. He as adapted very well in 24 hours. And we’re very pleased with him. This shelter is amazing and so is the staff. They were all very knowledgeable on all the dogs they had. If someone didn’t know about that specific dog another one did. They made me and my daughter feel very welcomed last night!
