I've been at GB Ashburn for about two months, and so far the experience was awesome, and kind of life-changing! 3 things I'd highlight for anyone looking for the "right" gym:
1. People. Everyone, from the professors/coaches to the peers, are wonderful. The professors are all super friendly, approachable, and are always great at answering questions. The peers are respectful, not overly aggressive, and kind. Big shout out to Professor Dana, Professor Rafael, and Professor Thiago for being awesome!
2. The environment. The physical environment is clean, but more importantly, I find the (non-physical) environment incredibly welcoming. There are areas for kids to hang out when parents are taking classes, plenty of chairs and sofa, and staff are just so, so kind and nice to the kids!!
3. The classes. There are classes for everyone - in the morning, middle-of-the-day, evening, and Saturday. Classes for kids, teens, adults, and WOMEN (!!). I also love that the classes are very organized, such that when I attend classes almost randomly throughout the week, different professors are all teaching similar techniques that build off of a streamlined curriculum.

Joining Gracie Barra has been great for my kids. It's not just about Jiu Jitsu; it's also about growing up with good values like discipline and teamwork. The teachers are amazing and really care about helping each kid do their best. I love how they teach kids to respect and support each other. I definitely recommend Gracie Barra to anyone thinking about starting or keeping up with Jiu Jitsu.

I will say first that Jiu-Jitsu has dramatically transformed my life. When I was starting to look for a gym to train at I saw two of them and Gracie Barra had kids all over their pages which at first turned me away. Then I thought to myself if I’m going to start this I will be coming into it as a newborn just learning to walk so this was with out a doubt the place for me. I have been here for a little over a year now and it was one of the greatest decisions I have ever made! The best professors, the best team, great friends, and one family.

I love ju jotsu classes and all their coaches. They are so kid friendly. The environment is family like. My son has been there for few months now and has learned sooo much. Highly recommend this place.

We started coming here in June 2021 and my son says he has a second family now!! He is 14 and is so happy with all of the staff and his class mates! Has changed his whole outlook and focus.Highly recommend as a parent.Very clean, great positive atmosphere. Absolutely worth the cost which is very competitive.

Really appreciated my time so far at Gracie barre, Dana, Victor, Charles instructors are incredibly welcoming and inviting and they are great at getting you in with the jiu jitsu community. I had to cut my time short due to an injury (outside of jiu jitsu) and hoping to be back once it heals. Very positive atmosphere ❤️

I was in town for business and stopped in to one of the evening classes. The place is clean, runs on time, folks are friendly, and the instruction is great. Professor Gomes and Dana were very welcoming and taught me some moves that I brought back to TX. Good stuff.

Amazing facilites with mat space for days. With 4 black belts (3 are Brazilian), you can be sure that you will receive the highest level of jiu-jitsu instruction here. They have an amazing kids & teens program and have an obvious love for working with them. I regularly travel over an hour just to train with these guys and highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for world class instruction.

Amazing place. I was nervous to start as I've never done any combat sports in the past, but was recommended by a coworker to look @ GB Ashburn. The professors and coaches there really care about your learning experience and take the time to correct your movements. The people in the lessons are kind and willing to teach you the techniques. Safe to say im addicted to keep coming back for the forseeable future.

This facility is perfectly structured between technical training, real world applications, and a continually enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to learn jiu jitsu from the ground up, anyone in need of a committed team for advanced training, or a working professional who requires a safe and organized environment. Every class is led by qualified and experienced instructor that is on time and individually engaging with each person throughout the class. If you are in search of organized, consistent, and quality- this is the place.

Fantastic place to learn and practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! The professors and coaches are knowledgeable and professional. They have structured curriculums which makes learning that much easier. My son absolutely loves his classes and is always looking forward to the next one. Highly recommended!

We love it here and can't recommend GB Ashburn enough! My boys started in September 2020 at ages 4 and 7 and even my reluctant daughter (age 9) a few months later! She can now take my husband down in a double leg take down Our jiu jitsu class days are the highlight of their day and it has given them confidence and necessary self defense (and life) skills! Coach Dana and Professor Charles are so good and patient with the kids! As other reviewers have mentioned, there is a family feel with the coaches and professors, and even among the parents in the waiting area. They run a clean, professional and top notch facility. The other professors are phenomenal as well, Professor Victor, Raphael, and Jesse.
