Safeway Harrison/Langston (Arlington) is horrifically understaffed, which means long, slow, lines and testy checkout employees . WARNING: Don't use self check-out lanes as NOBODY monitors them. If your machine freezes you'll be "waiting for assistance" for 15+ minutes, as I and several others did today. After a customer loudly yelled "Would someone please help us!," a manager slowly ambulated from the opposite side of the store to assist. By that time, two groups of teens had walked out the door without paying.

Short staffed and over priced. This location seems to lack quality.

Great customer service. Great teamwork staff. Love this place at 2509 N. Harrison Street and the flowers are a nice haven.

A decent Safeway that's a little cramped, but generally had enough parking spaces and employees who care. Much better than the horrible Safeway on Old Dominion Drive.

It took three cashiers to figure out how to redeem a Safeway 10.00 off coupon with a QR code that was designed to be scanned with their app. In the end they couldn't figure it out and gave me the 10. 00 anyway. Not their fault but Safeway management is degrading the customer experience and their workers' productivity by burdening them with apps that try to do everything except what the customer wants.

Wide selection of products. But some black worker was rude to me just because i wanted to pick something from regal that he was just refilling. It was my first experience shopping in US as europan tourist and i am really dissapointed. He should behave better.

I've lived in the area and shopped in this Safeway for over 30 years. It is sad how badly the staff have deteriorated. Today I was actually refused service by an employee. I waiting in the checkout line behind a sizeable order when another clerk approached the woman in front of me and flagged her to another cash register she was opening. I allowed the woman In front of me to go first but when I followed her to go to the quicker line the cashier told me no, she wasn't calling me and waved people who had just come to the checkout to cut in line ahead of me. I only had nine items in my basket. The employee saw me standing there before the other people who rushed up but essentially told me she wasn't going to wait on me. If this store is going to pick and choose who to serve they aren't going to be in business much longer. That employee certainly made it clear that other customers are valued more than I am.

Tucked in with a small parking lot, this still has all the facilities you would expect.

Easy access from Eastbound or Westbound Interstate 66. (Glebe Road and Falls Church/Fairfax Drive).Easy on or off, either direction...Perfect for those who live in the neighborhood as well as those in the suburbs travelling to or from the District.Well stocked and nice polite staff in a relatively safe neighborhood with a parking lot that one can actually get a place to park and exit efficiently.A favorite stop for me, and I suspect that you will like it too..!Enjoy..!

Overall it's okay. But the cashier was extremely bossy and rude. Definitely needs to learn some people skills!

This is my go to store, but I get frustrated by them only having four self-checkout lanes and so many manual checkout lanes that are never manned. Would appreciate converting more to self-checkout.
