The location of the hotel was incredibly ideal as a tourist because it is in the center of what appears to be downtown. The hotel had a very cozy feel and a vintage look, everything was going great we were close to all the monuments in DC and everything. The problem came when we were lounging in the room and happened to look down and saw not one... but TWO RATS! obviously in a room full of women we were hysterical. We called the lobby and they sent maintenance immediately. Everyone apologized profusely but needless to say the experience traumatized us.Rooms: beware you may be sharing a room with a few rodentsNearby activities: some good tourist attractions nearbyWalkability: Located within walking distance of some good restaurants and coffee shops

Beautiful hotel within walking distance to the Water & the city Square. So many restaurants, coffee shops & ice cream all around. Plus the room has robes in the closet!

We had such a terrible experience at this hotel. Being a Marriott member always gets you the treatment that you would hope for when you travel. Apparently, not in this particular hotel. Through our app we asked for an early check-in and it was approved. We arrived at around 2 pm and the lady at the reception ( one that didn't speak english well) got really angry that we were early. She told us that the only room we could get was another one with a lesser value and being that the prices already changed ( we had booked the room last week btw)we would not get any difference back. I really wanted the bigger room with the balcony but I was almost ok with it because we needed to change ourselves for an event. But the way she treated us, her attitude was not really something that you can understand when your job is to deal with people.Very nasty, very inappropriate. We called for a manager, he was a little better , offered another room but that one needed to be cleaned yet and we were dissapointed already. We asked for a cancelation and we left. This is not the kind of treatment that I like when I go to a hotel . We ended up in Indigo Hotel, minutes from this one with waterfront views. People at the reception were friendly, courteous and happy to see us. Had a great time!

What a great writing the center of it all in Alexandria Virginia. The rooms were big and yet cozy. The restaurant was warm and friendly. The staff had sangria every night at 7:30 p.m. be there or be square. We loved it and we will come back again.

One of the nicest hotel I've stayed at. Location was great; beautiful view of King Street. Clean, nice, and affordable parking close by. The only downsides I can think of are no vent in the bathroom and I don't think the bathroom door has a lock.

Stayed here for new years. Horrible experience. Received a lot of discrimination. Sam reached out to us to apologize and offered us a free stay. We decided to give it another try. This time the service was great. Zeniah C. and Tyler C. were incredible and very helpful. They alone made our second experience wonderful and both were very knowledgeable about the area.

Location, Location, Location. This charming hotel is in the heart of Old Town. Park your car for your stay, or don't get one at all, because you will be able to walk to just about every Alexandria attraction from your hotel. Great staff, good rooms, excellent bar and good food. Superior customer service. Rooms could use some updating -like USB charging ports- but the bed is comfortable and the rooms are quiet.Nearby activities: Alexandria Old Town, Waterfront, City Hall, Gadsby's Tavern.Walkability: In the heart of Alexandria Old Town.

This was a nice boutique hotel experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and classy. The hotel staff is attentive and friendly. The pearl in the oyster for this hotel is the location. A lot of great shopping, restaurants, and bars, all within walking distance.

The hotel double charged me over a week ago and I can not get in touch with anyone to fix the mistake even though the front desk has verified the mistake 5x already. I’ve left numerous messages to multiple accounts managers and still have heard nothing back. No one answers their phones in that department, I’ve called at least 15 times over the past week. Check your credit card statements, hopefully it doesn’t happen to you, you’ll never reach anyone to fix the situation. Overall the stay was average, the hotel allows dogs so they were barking on my floor at night. The bathtub drain was broken. I wouldn’t stay again, mostly due to the inability to correct a mistake they continually own at the front desk. What was supposed to be a relaxing stay has become a frustrating annoyance.

This is a lovely hotel right in the middle of everything. You can park your car and find numerous ways to get around. The beds are a bit small and not too comfy but overall I enjoyed my
