well before Sears closed down (in my area) I purchased a 3-year battery and It decided to die and I was really concerned because I couldn't find a place to honor the warranty. Well they were very friendly very welcoming and help me through this ordeal and help me get my car back.

This is the shop in Landmark Alexandria, VA. They tried to make me buy parts I didn't need, at a high price, and charge me for installation. If you have to go to this place and do expensive repairs, make sure you get a second opinion. They charged me $89 to do a diagnostic, and they said I need to replace 4 spark plugs and 4 Ignition Coil, each Ignition Coil will cost $132. They said it will cost me $647 total. I had to pay for diagnostic and went to another shop. When they hooked up the diagnostic scanner to my car at the other shop, it showed that I only need 1Ignition Coil and the spark plugs. Instead of paying $647 at Sears, I paid $185 at the other shop. I complained to the store manager and he did not even try to investigate this attempt to defraud a customer.

I have been coming to this Sears Auto Center on and off since 2001. I just got my spark plugs changed making it 20 years I have come there. I have always found it reasonably priced and always got my maintenance done to standard. Its part of the old Landmark Mall, built in the late 1960's, and so the auto center is not fancy by todays standards, but who cares. It has a spacious clean waiting room that is good enough and the staff is helpful. I know Sears is barely hanging on these days, and their store in the mall closed as well, but I hope this Sears Auto Center continues on.

Terrible service. I didn’t have a wheel lock for my tire and instead of asking the mechanic they informed me that they couldn’t put my fourth tire on and wouldn’t give me a refund. Told me I could come back and get it on when I can find a wheel lock tool. But I asked him to ask the mechanic and they had the tool so it was wasteful to come out and say all that!!! They spoke down to me because I am a female as well. Did not like the attitude from them. I will never go back here again!!!

Apparently batteries are not their strong suit. My battery is very nearly 2 years old and showing serious weakness - difficulty starting, nearly drained after just sitting overnight, need a jump every few days. I took the car to the Duke St Sears for the free battery check. They took my car in late, it took nearly 2 hours to check the battery, and all they did was show me the machine (the printout from the machine wasn't working) that said "battery good." They offered NO explanation for the battery draining or getting weak overnight and just kept pointing to "battery good." I went home and had the same weak battery behavior (though an electric meter verified that my car's charging system is working) so went back for a recheck. Same result. No help at all. No explanation. No battery replacement. The warranty runs out in a couple of weeks, and I suppose then they will try to SELL me a new battery. I won't get another Sears battery or return to this shop. I used to like and trust Sears. NO more.

This place is the worst. They messed up my tire pressure and then said go to dealership to fix it. Like wth kind of service is this. You can't do the job just tell me upfront dont mess up my car and then say o we can't fix it take it to dealer. The guy in the front is a joke.

Please do not take your vehicle here for ANY reason. The staff is very rude. Which is whatever, but I had 4 perelii tires put on my car. On the way home I could hardly keep my car on the road. Once home I checked the pressure in the tires. All 10 pounds or more to much. Also 3 out of 4 stims were leaking air. I got in the car and took it to the nearest tire and auto shop to me. They confirmed every tire had way to much air in them, and had to replace all the stems. Sears also said my car needed a major alignment. In which it did not, the place i just left checked and said my car did not need alignment. So please take your car somewhere else.
