Business run by rats! The owner had a car for sale and when I asked him over the phone if the title was clean he said yes. So I drove almost two hours to come see the car. The owner comes out and I ask him again about the title he says is clean and inside right now. I asked are u sure it's not rebuilt or salvage because we met at a shop. He then confessed that the title was rebuilt. Stay away from these scammers!

The review from 12/16 here is also mine, and Nelo's superlative paint/body/component work on the extensive damage to that car (which still runs great) has made Route 1 Auto Body & Paint our solid first choice. He remembered us when I called again this week, he made time immediately to give us an estimate, he got the necessary parts and called us in two days, then completed the work a day sooner than we could expect. He was flexible and accommodated our car schedule - and who can be without their car for long? His work is terrific and exact, and we are most appreciative.

If you want outstanding auto body work at a fair price right in the Mt. Vernon area, come right to Route 1 Auto Body. It looks modest, but Nelo has a full facility tucked in that space. A good friend recommended them to me years ago, and when the day came that we needed auto body help, Route 1 Auto Body was open later than other body shops even that day and started the process with us right away. They worked seamlessly with USAA, too. Best of all, they repaired the extensive damage quickly, and almost 4 years later and counting the car and all systems are running strong!

The damage was covered by my insurance, and Route 1 worked with the insurer’s estimate I provided to complete all work using the budget given in the time I required. I had additional body work done, unrelated to the insurance claim and was pleased with the repair. Don’t let the shop location turn you off. I intend to use Route 1 again.

Excellent auto body shop. Don't be turned off by location at all. Got a new bumper for my 2014 silverado 1500 painted matte black and it turned out amazing. He went above and beyond to satisfy the customer. Ordered bumper online and it got bunch of deep scratches during delivery, he repaired them and no signs of scratches or repair. Called 4 places he had the lowest price and still did top quality work. Very nice and friendly. Highly recommended! Will definitely be a repeat customer!

Great work at a reasonable cost. My car was borderline totaled, but they were able to get me back on the road looking good as new. Highly recommend!
