Utilized Emily at Home on Cameron for a kitchen redesign on our historic DC rowhome over a 3 month period. Emily comes across as knowledgeable about her work, but in our experience, was poor with follow-up and process. We had to follow-up with her multiple times with friendly reminders that required anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks for her to reply.

We ended our relationship with Home on Cameron after the design phase. When we did, she deflected our dissatisfaction with her work by saying it's okay that we don't have the budget for her. Which, is just an unnecessary passive-aggressive way to respond to criticism. Especially when we ended up paying $5k for what amounted to some floor plan sketches, which we paid without dispute and on-time. Anyways, we ended up getting another designer that has been great with follow-up and set up a clear project plan with timelines and ways to communicate our needs proactively on both sides. Would not recommend for future projects and I can provide the other designer that knows a ton about rowhouses and is great to work with.

Nice place, in fact a very nice place. This is a antique store which is located one block north of King Street on Cameron St. in Old Town Alexandria Virginia. It is across the street from the backside of the Alexandria City Hall. I was really amazing at the volume of high quality antique furniture, painting, dinner etc, this place has. I fell in love with a 19th century desk from France. It's beautiful and in amazing shape. But at $14,000 it's a little rich for my blood. It would fit at all the more modern home I have. If I had one of the numerous 150 year old homes all over Old Town it would fit far better in one of those than in mine. The gentlemen working there the day we went was very knowledgeable on the merchandise in the store and was very happy to answer many of the questions we had. This store is something to see. You'll really be surprised at the number and of the high quality of the antiques in this for. It's really a fun and interesting place to shop. There is no doubt I'll be back here.

What a delightful surprise this shop was! We just googled antique shops nearby and took an Uber to A Galerie on a whim. We were instantly greeted by the proprietor Janice, and Robert, with a genuine and warm welcome. We were looking for Art Deco Nude lamps and figurines. Janice took us on a personal tour through her place, pointing out her special finds, and educating us on the history of each piece. While we didn't find one to purchase, we ended up walking out with a gift from Janice of a beautiful Art Deco lamp! I was overwhelmed by her generosity. We visited for a good long while, and We learned a lot and truly appreciated her and Robert's friendly nature. It was refreshing and just an all around fun experience. We will definitely be back when we have more time to dig!

This is an amazing store and Todd Martz could not be any more charming or friendly. His selection is wonderful. Whether you are just looking for unusual place to fit into your existing interior or if you need a complete design service this is the place to go. The selection of fabric is wonderful. They have fantastic sofas, chairs and so much more. Truly a delight.

Stumbled in today & was pleasantly surprised with A Galerie! Didn't buy anything [yet], but Janice, the owner, is incredibly kind & knowledgable, & the space has a wonderful, spacious flow to it, especially compared to the antique stores directly off King Street. Prices seem reasonable, & the variety of art & furniture is wonderful.

This is really an amazing home/design store (they offer both furniture and design services). They blend contemporary furnishings with traditional accents really beautifully and they have an incredible eye for color-- it really is beautiful!! The fact that they will also help with the room design and furniture layout is a huge plus!! The staff in the showroom were so, so nice and helpful!

My favorite kind of antique shop with goodies piled floor to ceiling. Lots to look at here. Only 4 stars because although the staff tried very hard to be helpful, some pieces did not have a price and he had to call the owner. I hoped to get a call back before we left the area so I could make a purchase, waited a few hours and no luck.

Gorgeous gem of a place. I found lovely, tasteful pieces that felt both elegant yet comfortable with helpful staff. Simply loved so many of art options, they were curated by a local art dealer. Very Old Town.

Fabulous. Friendly and knowledgable. Knew everything about the items I purchased. Even pulled some things from the back to make sure I got what I wanted. Would highly recommend. Go buy now and support this great store.

I am delighted and beyond that I set foot into this amazing shop. Was extremely impressed with the staff, attentiveness, conversation, and knowledge of pieces. The layout is wonderful, I didn't feel claustrophobic or overwhelmed. The owner, Janice, took time to speak with me and personally guided me on a tour of the second shop. The customer service was exceptional. Take time to visit this treasure and ask questions about the collections. It's worth every second and penny!

A Galerie is a wonderful treasure trove of finds! I was visiting Alexandria from Los Angles and happened upon this shop. The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to ensure that I found what I was looking for. There were so many treasures that I fell in love with and am still wishing I had bought. One of the great little must stops in Alexandria!

I can't BELIEVE that I have NEVER been to this amazing store! My husband and I moved to the D.C. area recently on military orders, and we decided that on such a beautiful spring day, we should take a little stroll down the streets of Old Town. For some reason, I decided to turn down a side street instead of staying on the main street, and that's when we came across A Galerie! We immediately crossed the street towards the store and from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with the most pleasant vibes! We were first greeted with the most cheerful "Hello!" from a sweet young lady named Branca. She let us know right away that if we needed anything she was there to help us, which immediately set the friendly tone for this store. My husband loves old antiques with lots of patina on them (especially military memorabilia) and he spotted a gorgeous piece in a corner that had his full attention. I on the other hand was immediately taken in by the large selection of BEAUTIFUL and eclectic jewelry! OMG, I have NEVER seen so many beautiful pieces in one spot lol. I was overwhelmed with how amazing the quality was and just how many pieces I wanted to buy lol! I'll post pix of the pieces I bought, but the awesomeness does not end there. A very sweet lady named Alba helped me try on the jewelry that I wanted to purchase, and gave the cutest commentary on pieces she thought looked really good on me. And then, just as I was trying on yet another piece, the cutest little blonde lady named Janice came from the back of the building. I realized shortly after that she was the owner of this amazing establishment, and she was SOOOOOOOOO helpful and sweet! She discussed all of the pieces in such great detail and she REALLY took her time with me! At no time did I ever feel rushed or as if I was taking up all of her time. ALL of the staff here are just amazingly genuine, sweet and helpful people! My husband and I will most definitely become regulars! This is such a well-hidden gem, and now, when I think of antiques, I ONLY think of A Galerie:))) I'm not sure if I can save the pix of the jewelry with this post, so just in case I can't, they are the photos of a bronze cuff bracelet, a turquoise bracelet, and two gorgeous exotic necklaces. I'm SOOOOOOOO in love with every single piece!!
