Worst decision of my life was to take a loan out from VSAC. Words cannot express how much I loath this company.

They used to be great, but have been using predatory loan practices, similar to other private loans for the past few years. I wish I never borrowed with them.

Great when I was in medical school and great when I was making payments. Never missed a payment since 1997. Paid a huge payment to bring down the principle. Then, without knowing when to start back up, I missed two payments since they sent to wrong address. Two payments! After 26 years of perfect payments. Wouldn't even take that into consideration. Reported to TransUnion and 79 points later, they won't even listen to me.

Customer service frequently witholds the truth about your account balances and "forgets" instructions given about payment allocation. Screw VSAC and their absolutely predatory system.

This company ruins lives and I'm pretty sure they enjoy doing it.

Today I paid off my loan. It's been almost 20 years of monthly payments and it's over. I consolidated my undergraduate and graduate loans with VSAC and over the past 20 years I've found the staff at VSAC to help helpful, patient, kind, and knowledgeable. They walked me through borrowing, consolidating, payments, and finally payoff. I was very happy with my loan servicing there. Is it weird to say I'll miss them? I wish all my customer service interactions were this easy. Thank you VSAC.

i have paid on my loan for over 10 years finally had hoped to have the final portion cleared only to find out it didnt qualify. the amount of interest i have paid on this since signing at 17 years old os disgusting. i have struggled because of this. the people that have called when a payment was late have been some of the most heartless humans i have ever encountered. i wish i had known at 17 the distress taking out student loans with vsac would but on my life 10+ years later.

All my experiences with VSAC over the years have been pleasant and productive. The service provider is always ready to search for the information I am seeking and guide me through the necessary process. If the information is not readily available, VSAC will take the time and extra effort to retrieve that information.

The customer relations team is exceptional. They are warm, extremely informative and thorough in their explanations. I feel like they genuinely have my best interests in mind as they are relaying my options, and I always end the calls feeling heard and supported. I spoke with Dianna today and she was no exception. I could sense the sincerity and care in her voice. Student debt can be overwhelming…over the years, I’ve been truly grateful for all of the support and guidance that I’ve received from vsac. Thank you

You can only get so much federal aid, and I'm glad I was able to fill the gap with a private loan from VSAC which allowed me to take the courses necessary to finish my degree. I've been in repayment for several years and have never had any problems with them or my loan. Fantastic org, and I would absolutely borrow from them again or seek their assistance if I needed it.

I took out $40,644 for school between 2011-2015. I started paying the loans down in 2015 when I graduated. I have now paid $41,837 to VSAC.I still owe $28,208.19.VSAC - a “non profit” organization, has already charged me $29,401.19 in interest so far. This should be criminal. I hope they feel guilty when they say “we’re here to help” knowing full well the only option they can provide is a forbearance (which inevitably only makes VSAC even more money on compounded interest).I have been stuck in a horrible cycle of debt and I’m unable to refinance any of this.
