Super nice people. Nice sales. Nice bulk selection. I especially like the bulk Vermont Artisan Coffee. Their store brand is awesome. Recently used their online order and pickup service and it went without a hitch.

The Village Market in Waterbury, VT is a very popular place and for good reasons. They have a pretty wide selection of items of all different types, especially concentrating on Local Vermont Businesses, and I always have fun in the store which sounds odd until you see for yourself. And the people who work there make it a priority to know your name and they are always happy to see you and happy to help you find something, and though it's not possible to always be the case, chances are pretty good that they can probably order something for you if they are familiar with the company and if you have need of any large orders of anything they already sell. It's a great store. AND, They now have 4 automated self check-outs that always have a Staff person who can assist you in the process. Okay, this all sounds great, you may be thinking, but why then only 4 Stars? Well if I were able, I would have chosen 4 and a half Stars. So, okay 4 1/2 then. Why? Well, it's their prices. They have a tendency to raise the price of anything that begins to become popular. And not by a small amount, I am sad to say. Yes, yes I know: everything has gotten expensive. True. But not like this. It has gotten to the point where a few people I know are boycotting and going 2 miles out of their way to shop at the Shaw's Store up on the hill.

Deli is a mess. Cut my cold meat with out gloves. Was too busy putting out premade items to do my order. Wrote it down then I had to go back for it and it still wasn't done. How can you run a business like that??

Great staff, great selection of products, and a small town feel. I am not crazy about the self checkouts, but they are a sign of the times.

Convenient location, decent beer and wine selection but not a great selection of food. prices are over inflated and the self checkout is a nightmare. The register scale is too sensitive and the attendant is constantly having to come override all of the anti theft errors from verifying that you are in fact using your own bag to discrepancies between scanner scale and baggage scale.

Very clean and well stocked. Staff are friendly. Prices are somewhat high but typical of most smaller village markets but with good weekly sale items. Excellent meat selections.

Cute little store with lots of fresh food and ready to eat meals. I go here often on lunch breaks from work and grab something. The staff is always pleasant and the store always looks quite clean!

A favorite grocery in VT, the staff is especially kind and helpful. Worth my getting off I89 to pick stuff up on my way home.

There were lots of organic options for fruits and vegetables. There are also lots of local brands like Cabot milk products, Klinger’s bread, etc. Their store brand products are also reasonably priced and you can pick up almost anything you would need for regular grocery shopping. Their in-house smoked cheese was to die for. They have other prepared foods, and their smoked deli turkey was great, too.
