Very poor customer relation for the second year in a row my grandmother has prepaid for her fuel and they neglected to keep her tank the way it should be with fuel in it she called last year because she ran out and she is supposed to be an automatic fill up both years and she has been a customer since they bought out the other company in town and they were our fuel company for propane for many years. This company has gone seriously down hill since Ralf Jackman passed away he made sure his customers were taken care of and made sure there was no issue. They also allowed us to run out of fuel for the house for our cook stove and how water people on automatic should never run out of fuel. We are looking at next year getting a different company.

In addition to consistent and reliable delivery service, Jackman Fuels is timely and reliable with service calls. They show up and get it done to keep our old house warm and functional.

First experience with them as a new customer, they went out of their way to bring me fuel after we ran out due to a prior owner math error. Brought us fuel day of after saying they didn't think they could until later that week or the next day. Extremely appreciative of them, the office staff was kind and informative. The delivery person was as friendly as can be. Best experience with a utility company I've ever had.

The office people are very hard to deal with. Beth Jackman has a serious attitude problem towards low income households. She has zero empathy because she's had everything handed to her in life. This is a huge problem when you're in a business that supplies the heating fuel that Vermonters require to sustain themselves for half of the year and I know for a fact that I'm not the only person that feels this way. I've been in the area for over 2 decades and her name has come up on multiple occasions. You can inherit a business but you can't inherit class.

Had these guys for years until they could not fix my furnace. Told me I needed a $400 part or $1500 for a new furnace when only I needed a felt gasket. Called another fuel supplier, they came out and fixed the same day( they made the felt gasket).They also found two other parts that needed replacing that I was never told of. So beware they do not know much about furnaces in my opinion. Much happier with the new fuel supplier.

I experienced poor service when trying to establish service thru Jackman Fuels.I called and setup an appt for both propane and heating fuel to be delivered, had a solid Wednesday for heating fuel, thursday for propane. Thursday afternoon after both no shows I called and was very unprofessionally told my credit app didnt pass so they opted not to service my address.I offered my debit card, deposits and cash, all refused. I had another company service me with my debit card the following day with excellent service.Poor customer service, not accepting new customers, did not show up or call at appt time.

Jackman Fuels goes above and beyond! We had emergency issues with our boiler on Christmas Day and New Years Day, Jesse Jackman arrived to our house to service within a half hour. So thankful for Jesse, Beth and their entire crew!

Beware - Working Class Americans......Jackmans has no sympathy for people struggling to stay afloat and pay the bills. I thought i was out of propane and when i called to pay and order more. I was shocked to learn Jackman Fuels of Vergennes disconnected my account and locked my tank without my knowledge. Even worse, i was not out of propane at all, I still had propane in the tank that I currently owe collections for when they locked the tank. They would not even allow me to prepay for propane because of a past due bill. When i called to pay my bill they told me to find another provider and left my family out in the cold...literally forced us to be without heat and hot water. Absolutely Atrocious! They think it's ok to deny you of basic needs and treat you like a second class citizen because you are low income.

Honest and fair. Competitive prices all year and friendly staff. I'd had a bad experience with the last propane company we used. Iv been with this awesome company since. They have stuck to their word.
