My name is Diana and I called Springfield humane society Saturday for help my cat was sick Friday and couldn’t find a vet with space to take him so I went to saves and after an 800+ bill I was sent home with antibiotics and kitty Tylenol she called it.. I had never given medication to an animal my daughter used to do it . I was petrified I would choke the cat as he was not drinking or eating so I thought it wouldn’t go down a dry throat. I called Springfield and was called back and they told me to come down they would guide me through it because they couldn’t do it for me.. so I was met by two wonderful caring young ladies who told me the exact steps and guided me to do it to boo boo and I didn’t hurt him.. I was filled with anxiety when I had to do it alone but we made it through and I would like to thank them for being so kind caring and understanding…I wish I could remember their names.. these people go out of their way to make sure animals are safe every day and I want to thank them … boo boo is his old self today already to get in trouble..thank you so very much for everything …

A dream come true Humane Society. My Brother was in a serious car wreck. This group took Bruno the Boston Terrier in and treated him like a family member while my brother was hospitalized. A true Godsend! Nothing short of angels’ wings for the couple attending animals on the holiday weekend. ❤️♥️?

We had a wonderful experience at the Springfield Humane Society, where we recently adopted our adorable new puppy. The staff were clearly very dedicated to their work--I was impressed by how well they knew the animals and how kind and loving they were with them. The adoption process was well managed, and the instructions they provided for taking our little guy home were clear and thorough. If you're looking to add a new member of the family, I highly recommend this shelter.
