To be fair, when I arrived it was only my first or second time ever being there I think I've been there twice but when I arrived most recently, there was only one guy working and he was also trying to stock shelves at the same time. So the place was in disarray but I would expect it that way. He was very friendly and very nice and we had a nice conversation. He just seemed unbelievably busy because he was trying to do two jobs
Is the complaints I have about the place are that some of the things they sell are way too pricey for a dollar store. And I know that's all Dollar Generals
Number two, and this may impact some people but not others, you are absolutely hit with the smell of very very strong heavy chemicals the moment you walk in the door. And I think that's because they keep their heavy chemicals sort of in the center aisle towards the back. I think maybe it would be less smelly if they put them along the very very back wall? I don't know? But it's unbelievably overwhelming. I did not stay long simply for that fact. It actually was making me sick.
Three, they just didn't have a very good variety of craft stuff. Which Maybe it's just not what they sell? I don't know.
And there just weren't a lot of options when it comes to things like kitchenware. And Beauty accessories for the hair. That was very very limited. And I mean extensively limited.
I think it has good deals on some items. Like toilet paper and paper towels and things like that. But when it comes to a lot of other things that I personally use, I just don't find anything useful in the store. I actually find a lot more at the regular dollar stores where everything is just a dollar.
On top of that, the shopping center that it's in, Northgate plaza, it's just very vacant. It's a little tiny bit nerve-wracking when you go there because you feel like you're almost in a ghetto strip mall. Because there's just nothing around you. So it's just not very populated and you just kind of get a really uneasy feeling. Maybe that's just me?
The reason I gave it a four-star is because it is what it is. It's a dollar general. And most people who shop at Dollar Generals know what they're getting themselves into. I really was not aware of what was in there and I expected way better deals and I guess I just expected everything to be a lot less expensive because I'm on a massive budget.
And the man that was working there was very friendly and very kind and very sociable and he really was working hard. So basically the four stars are for him. And the minus one star is just for everything else.

Been waiting an HOUR to be able to go into This Dollar General! There’s a sign on the door “Running Late sorry for the inconvenience” it’s an hour & a half after it’s supposed to open!WHY is this store still NOT open?! It shouldn’t take this long to get the store open someone is clearly here being there is a hand written note on the DOOR?! I don’t know why I even continue to bother trying to shop at ANY of the Dollar Generals Morrisville Hardwick Johnson they all make there own daily Hours?!Dollar General Hours:TBD DAILY! Cause it’s not once in awhile that any of these DG’s have something come up for months Hardwick couldn’t open on time or at all Now this one has been having issues?! You know ur short staffed so maybe figure something out that works?

This place is kind of a dump, due to the lack of employees,. It's mostly because they just don't pay well. However they have most everything you need at a very good price. Spray paint door locks all kinds of stationary products food some clothing cleaning chemicals so on and so on. I highly recommend shopping at Dollar general and filling out the survey suggesting that they pay their employees better. After all this is Vermont we should have a wage that's livable

The staff here is super unprofessional. I feel like when I check out I'm literally ruining the life of the person behind the counter. One time I went in and someone that seemed to be in a supervisor role was FaceTime ing a friend while checking us out. Unimpressed. I'll still go there because our options in town are limited, but please send like, a regional manager or something over there or check the cameras or something

Generally, nothing here is a dollar. I know! Shocking considering the name. It's not even close to living up to the name. Fact is their prices are often more expensive than the grocery store around the corner. Only reason I go is they have cinnamon Mentos, a fave of mine, that can't be found elsewhere around town.

Dollar General is a place that you never know what you might find, but often they have the same items as the local supermarkets at a considerably lower price. And during Covid they have often had items coming in that other stores are out of. It's a good place to go for cards, gift wrap, and lots of seasonal items.

None of the employees wear masks, at the time of this pandemic. Funny thing is they have a sign on the door requiring them. All other dollar generals employees in different locations wear them. Sad they can't protect or care about their customers
