Fantastic food made of hearty and healthy Vermont grown ingredients. The old restored barn dining area and the ambient warm lighting create a cozy atomosphere that invites you in. We went in November and ordered radish and turnip along with the bread rolls as a starter. The rolls were so well baked and a must as they are cheap and delicious. The radish and turnip appetizer was great especially if you enjoy raw vegetables as they were quite crunchy. For entrées we got the chicken dish which was cooked to perfection with a delicious gravy-like sauce. My only complaint was the portion was on the smaller side. It was probably only 8 oz. My partner got the buttercup squash vegetarian dish which was sweet and savory. All in all the food was excellent quality and the service was impressive. I would say the atomosphere, the service, and the farm to table nature of Philo Ridge Farm are the three main things going for it.

Came for dinner and was blown away. The outdoor terrace was gorgeous and was made even better by a friendly roving farm cat! Standouts food wise were the cheese, duck rillette and duck breast, both versions of duck were prepared perfectly. Everyone's favorite dish of the night was the beautiful pavlova!

My sister and I had a lovely night at Philo Ridge Farm. The service is exceptional, and you’ll be dining in probably the most picturesque outdoor seating areas in Vermont. Their menu features plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options that showcase incredible seasonal produce. Overall, the food is good — nothing particularly outstanding but still delicious farm to table fare. The onion and cabbage dishes we tried were my favorite. Next time, I’d skip the cheese board. The vibes are definitely fancy and almost a little up tight, which made me feel a bit out of place.

PRF is a beautiful farm with some of the most attentive, professional, and friendly staff you'll ever meet. Be sure to take a short walk along the picturesque garden path after your fabulous four-course meal. The menu changes weekly, so return often. I can't wait to go back!

We visited the farm for dinner on a special occasion and were not disappointed. We ate on the patio area and the atmosphere and farm were so wonderful. The food was truly great. We each had a glass of wine and ordered 1 cocktail both were very good. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Timing was a little off but nothing major. After we picked up some items from the shop that we cooked for memorial day - also great.Would highly recommend.

The ambiance and food was wonderful however our waitress, Marina according to the receipt, was incredibly standoffish. During our entire meal we seemed to be an inconvenience to her; even when initially greeting us there was zero warmth.

We wanted to love this place. The food was good (definitely not great) and, most importantly, not really worth the prefix price. This is especially true if you eat a plant based diet. The appetizer salad was a quartered head of radicchio with some watermelon radish. The main, again for the veggie option, was half of a butternut squash with some greens and nuts. The dessert choices were not very creative items-- all overly sweetened as we found out by trying all three due to a fluke on the part of the waitress. (The service was also very incompetent. Very young, nice but sort of clueless staff). As someone who does not eat meat, looking at the price of the plant-based options versus the meat dishes, Philo Ridge really has a long way to go to offer non meat eaters a meal that is worth the relatively reasonable $64. With tax, tip, sparkling water and a black coffee my portion of the bill came to over $80 for half a squash and some fancy lettuce. The only thing I really splurge on is good food, so we were prepared to do that. The takeaway is that this is way beyond a normal markup, even in these post-pandemic times of massive overblown inflation. Also, it took us an hour and 10 minutes to be served our main course. So in an hour and 10 minutes we were only served a salad and my partner's pork broth dish. And this was after we confirmed with the waitress that we would need to actually be seated and eat quicker than usual because we had an engagement afterwards. Needless to say, it was a frustrating experience to have the whole thing take twice as long as it should have, on top of the excessive pricing.

This is my favorite place for fine dining in Vermont. So much on the menu is grown right on the farm. So it's fun to see the menu change with whatever is at the pinnacle of its harvest season. If the shishitos are on the menu, definitely want to prepare yourself for a taste and texture far superior to what you've had prior. Wine prices are incredibly reasonable and it's nice to have a locally made kombucha on hand for those not imbibing alcohol. Both times I've been the service has been precise yet intimate. The dining room seating is very cozy, the lighting was perfect, and the ambient noise from the dining room was very manageable for quiet conversation at our table. I hope to enjoy many more dinners here with friends and family.

Does this thing have a 6 star button? A+ service and food! One of the areas must go. We are so happy that we found this place. The food is preselected & you have 3 options for 1 app 1 entree 1 dessert. You can also pick some bonuses if you like (carpaccio is sublime to say the least). Plenty of wine selections. They grow their protein on property. Pretty special place!

We live locally so to say we’re spoiled with some of the best farm to table experiences in the world is not an exaggeration! This was our first time here. Many of our friends have told us ‘you HAVE to go to Philo Ridge Farm!’ We finally made it! We brought friends from out of town too!The setting is just gorgeous and we happened to have a beautiful pink and purple sunset to start our evening. The food was mouth wateringly good, plated beautifully, and the SERVICE was outstanding. I loved how the food is served to the table all together. No single person is ever waiting. Watching the team work together is like a symphony. The whole night was magical. You might even make a friend (barn cat, Shar) in the parking lot as you leave.
