I could have easily spent more time in the store just chatting with him but we found the perfect Amali necklace rather quickly. So many beautiful items and local artisans too! Thanks for making our day trip successful.

I was looking for dainty wedding bands and didn't get greeted or acknowledged. It was pretty disappointing. I suspect it's because I'm not a certain demographic. I won't set foot in their store again. Lots of other jewelry businesses like Perriwinkle's or Tick Tock are much friendlier.

My first experience at Von Bargens was amazing. I went here to have my grandmothers rings melted down to make a new wedding band and Melanie was very knowledgeable, went out of her way to be accommodating, and made it a painless experience. Repurposing old family jewelry was way more affordable than I would have ever imagined and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to do the same. I will definitely be returning in the future!

How do you make a little girl happy? You give her custom-made earrings. I had a great experience shopping in your store. I walked in, told the girl what I was looking for and the next thing you know, she showed me the perfect gift. I’ll be calling and ordering the matching necklace this week. I’m not one to post many reviews, but this experience really warrants one.
In February, my now fiancé and I went into Von Bargen’s on Church Street (Burlington) to check out their engagement ring selection. Neither of us had been in there, but they’ve been in business quite some time and we’d heard good things.
That day, we had the pleasure of working with Ali D. (manager) and what a positive experience! Ali spent a lot of time with us as I had fun trying on different rings, everything from the classic solitaire types to many very unique pieces. It was hard to make a decision. Ali then introduced us to the most beautiful ring I think I’ve ever seen and somehow, it was also within our budget!
We started planning. Ali explained this ring would be designed by Mark Patterson and that some customizations could be made. She asked me about what type of diamond we would like them to find for the main stone, rather than just having to pick from their current inventory. This was a very informative process and pretty cool to be able to choose amongst limitless options!
Once all of the ring specifications/personalizations were set, we placed an order and sometime in March, the ring was finished. Ali communicated about the arrival with my fiancé, so I’d be surprised. (By the way, I had emailed Ali a few questions before the ring came in and she emailed me right back.)
Even though, I’d seen a ring like the one we ordered in the store, it couldn’t prepare us for the beauty that resided in that pretty, little jewelry box. This ring is absolutely spectacular!! Think vintage-style meets modern artistry. It’s elegant, yet very solid and the setting is so one-of-a kind. I think if I add up all the minutes spent just staring at it, in the first 24-hrs, it comes out to be between 2-3 hours.
Ali and Mark Patterson made sure every detail for this ring was perfect! The main diamond was exactly what I’d hoped for. Honestly, I’ve never seen a more beautiful ring. I didn’t realize I had a “dream ring,” until I saw this breathtaking piece of art! I’m so glad Ali (without being at all pushy) read me so well and seemed to know my taste better than I did at that moment. She was also very personable and attentive.
Buying an engagement ring can be stressful, but Ali made the process so seamless from start to finish.
We couldn’t be more pleased! Thank you Von Bargen’s of Burlington, Ali D., (store manager), and (designer), Mark Patterson!

Charlotte Volk is one of a kind! Fluent in gemology and she provided us with fair and thoughtful advice during our time with her. It feels very nice to be advised versus being sold. She had a great personality and made our time at Von Bargen's very memorable. We would recommend the shop to anyone looking for a top-shelf experience. Charlotte is a consummate professional and the diamonds and jewelry are of unrivaled quality.

My husband and I got our wedding bands from Von Bargen's. Gary helped us design exactly what we wanted within our modest budget and a tight time frame. He was really patient and kind and made the entire experience a pleasure. We will definitely be back!
